I found this site maybe 3 years ago and have found it handy for looking up a lot of historical paintings that I come across in my random readings. It doesn't have every painting by every famous painter, but it has one of the larger online collections I have found. Also I have found lots of great painters and paintings I would never have seen without finding this site. It also has a large collection of works by living artists. Their overall collection is constantly growing. Anyway if you're big into art history, or simply into art this site comes highly recomended ...
