Artificial Eggs now on sale at Whole Foods

I read this today on the Daily News:

These eggs are 'grown' from plants, including peas and a beans from South Asia. They claim the eggs "
replicate the taste, nutritional values and cooking properties of an egg." I didn't see a mention of carb content.

‘We want to take animals out of the equation,’ said Josh Tetrick, the firm’s founder. ‘The food industry is begging for innovation, especially where animals are involved - it is a broken industry.’

Ah yes, broken, indeed!

Is bacon next? Sure glad I raise most of my own food!

I went on SOTT and read the article and I had to say it was a traumatic experience , it seem there's no limit to worse, after the synthetic meat now this. Eggs and beacon are at risk ? but more seriously we are what we eat so I'm asking myself :" In what they're trying to transform us ? ".
