I never would have went to this movie, except that my son begged me. Since I wasn't expecting greatness, I was not disappointed.
The movie had many interesting aspects. As a brief synopsis, two secret societies, the Knights Templar and the Assassins fought for the apple from the garden of creation so they could use it to restructure mankind's DNA so he/she would be peaceful and never rebel from the establishment. I didn't think it was a great plot, but I did think it was interesting what parts of history were chosen to build the plot.
On a deeper level than just the profit aspect, I think the producers of this movie were attempting to redirect some people in society who are trying to learn about real history. From what I've seen, many people are starting to abandon the establishment sources to learn more about it. I believe that one of the movie's objectives is to put people on the wrong path, especially as it pertains to the Knights Templar and the origins of the Bible.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this movie.
