As I watch the CNN coverage, I'm struck by statements of the local police expert that includes phrases such as, "the nature of shootings in the US in the last ten or fifteen years," and "they don't talk -- they don't give you a chance to talk to them," and "they shoot themselves." Such an obvious pattern that's so obviously weird, and apparently a departure from times past, and apparently quite consistent. And the press mimics these notions in various subtle ways, the message being, "this is now what we expect from shootings." Following it up will surely be the clueless, obfuscating editorials that say, "we'll never know what makes people do this."
Session 010924:
A: Mind controlled violence.
Q: (L) Can we know what form it will take?
A: Shootings.
