Today my wife was walking out of the local shops when a man in a wheeled walking frame made a passing comment.
He said: "Did you know that shop (the hardware shop) is selling seats for sheep now?"
My wife looked at him quizzically..
"Yes" he said, "They're called baah stools!".
When she told me this in the car, I pointed out that it was probably a 'dad joke' that he's been dying to tell someone for years!
I love 'dad jokes'.
My Guardian told me one once.
We were passing a cemetery while out driving, and he quipped:
"Now we're in the dead centre of town!"
Groan..
