Babies

I just saw this movie last night and I thought it was just great. It follows four babies -- one in Tokyo, Namibia, San Francisco and Mongolia -- from birth throughout their first year of life. (There is very little dialog and there are no captions when the parents are speaking.) It was beautifully shot and the babies were all so lovely. It was a real heartwarmer.

The baby from Mongolia's (Bayar) older brother looks to be a teensy-weensy little psychopath. Poor Bayar. :(

Hubby and I just saw this a few nights ago, and really loved it. It was very well done!

We both thought that the Mongolian baby had it the best, as far as not being overwhelmed by stimuli as soon as he kept his eyes open.

It really bothered both of us that the little girl from San Francisco was subjected to invasive procedures right from birth, and she wasn't really interacted with as much as the other babies were, osit.


A very interesting movie, worth watching.
