Bags out of old clothes...

I have been creating a few different types of bags using old clothes. The idea came to me one day after searching for years for the proper bag for my daily activities. Nothing that was purchased covered all the things that are necessary in a bag, at least for me. I started making the structure out of old sweaters, then moved on to actually purchasing felt lining. With the purchase of the felt lining the structure of each piece became more solid allowing for expansion into multiple forms...Here are a few examples starting with one of the first the were made...

Very cool. Do you sell them on etsey or ebay? Now days with so many people using re-usable bags their is a good market for this.

I do a little commission work here and there and sell them in a little gallery in a harbor town north of where I live. There are no online sales at the moment, yet there is a website in the works. The idea behind the site is a free online portfolio for all local area artisans past, present and future. It will include those artisans that have done any type of work in the area for any amount of time. It is an attempt to create a network of creative people with the possibility of community oriented projects and collaborations between artisans.
