And found it direct. Quite believable. I can't help but ponder what I have and how I can better prepare, with what is at hand (these days..).
Been doing the toilet paper.. stock pile (props/thanks H.S.). I've got some silver, not much, would guesstimate $1,000 dollars worth. My wife has found two loose stones (second recent one a karat or more, but not proven as a gem), and as far as set aside in cash we have about 2k dollars, my desired 0 point, in case something happens.
I do PC repair when I can for a living and my wife has a part time job. We're living below poverty and if the case were made easily fall within the parameters of food stamps.. who knows maybe even some small financial assistance. We're ok without.. having been denied for years.
Any advice on what I might do, should there be an opportunity for myself and my direct family to increase our chance(s) of longevity? Leaving our money as cash is looking less desirable, but what needs might one cover with it? We have debts. Maybe 20k us dollars. Her job is a little shaky, though she's managed to keep on it for 14-16 years and if she were more stable (timely, small things her boss nitpicks) it can be maintained as a solid (not global recession proof, but pretty dang solid), so our bills can be considered small threats.
Not sure what happens in a full economic melt down, debt forgiveness, debtors jail? Anyhow, the first question, "Any advice on what I might do, should there be an opportunity for myself and my direct family to increase our chance(s) of longevity?" is what I'm curious about. I don't believe I'm obsessing on this as it's been on my mind in more back-burner terms, but it seems to be getting breezy here in the glass house.
