I have loved Opera for years... in fact, we used to listen to opera while chatting with the Cs... they liked it too!
As singers, my wife and I were naturally pleased to read this. Noticing that there is less classical music shared here, we thought of doing so.

There are many singers who have stood the test of time for critical review and fans. Here are just a few of our favorites to start:

Tenors:

Fritz Wunderlich

Beniamino Gigli

Franco Corelli

thanks for the links! Poncele is so amazing! I love opera too, when I was child I liked very much and few years ago I started to listen it again. I love coloratura singers like Cecilia Bartoli, Luciana Serra, this two last for their technique, the sharp notes of Natalie Dessay, and the dark voice of Ewa Podles. I like very much Faure repertoire.
As tenor Giuseppe Giacomini always likes me. Well, I am not expert since I have a little time estimating this music, But it´s matter of tastes...

It's too bad that Giacomini wasn't celebrated more than he was. His tenor voice had the color and majesty of a bass, a sort of an anomaly.

My original intention was to continue with examples of baritones and basses; maybe in the future.
