Belgium : Terrorist wanted to blow up a plane

I am not sure this fits in here totally but as it also deals with new measures to tighten the information surveillance so I posted it in here.

An Iranian man of around 40 years old wanted to make a plane explode during a flight to Dublin with either liquid or solid explosive (hidden in medicine packaging) last week (the 27 September). He was repelled at the check-in because his visa wasn't in order, arrested (??) he then explained that he was contacted by someone to execute this mission.
Until now there aren't ANY proof that would make his claims true.

Ok that's funny.
I suppose we were a bit lagging behind so we had to come up with our own story.
We'are a small country so it's only one man in the second aeroport (with international flight) of Belgium.
I can almost hear them veryfing their fake-terror checklist.

Why did the media just covered the story today ?
Just a few days before the communal election of the 8th October ?
Or for other motives ?

Moreover, there was this news as of today, that our secret services aren't able to follow up with terrorism (especially Islamic) because the lack of SOFTWARE/HARDWARE to track down terrorism (meaning that they need more laws and gear to track down everyone) but new solutions are already there to compensate for this lack.

How convenient.
