Ben Swann, my local Fox News anchor, is approaching the unbelievable...

Would greatly appreciate comments on this...

I became aware a couple weeks ago, that my local Fox News anchor for Cincinnati, Ben Swann, has been doing a regular segment called "Reality Check."

Here are a few recent segments, and every single one made my drop my jaw further than I thought possible...

Tonight's local news broadcast (to over a million regular folks): http://www.fox19.com/story/19278682/reality-check-obama-administration-refuses-to-tell-judge-if-ndaa-is-being-illegally-enforced

Previous segments (not deactivating the links because they are beyond legit as far as I can see):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqmYRnBVmEo&feature=youtu.be (Do we really need to audit the Federal Reserve?)
http://www.fox19.com/story/19232163/reality-check-the-us-government-actually-created-al-qaeda
http://www.fox19.com/story/19218317/maine-ron-paul-supporters-creds-being-challenged-by-cianchette
http://www.fox19.com/story/19242729/fast-and-furious-about-us-backing-a-mexican-drug-cartel

Plus many others...he has a FB page here, https://www.facebook.com/BenSwannRealityCheck , and as far as I can tell, this guy needs our support!

I mean seriously...can anybody list one example of any local news affiliate, anywhere in the U.S., covering these stories the way this guy is? I keep waiting for...'something'...to happen (to him and/or his reports), yet he keeps on telling it like it is, even tonight, so I felt the need to bring it up for discussion here...I've been in a little bit of shock about this, and how millions of 'normals' are being exposed to this information...but hey, and hurray!

I don't know how long he has been on air - but after he started covering the RP campaign, he started getting tons of views because vids of him were embedded on RP fan sites. This is because he was the only news reporter in the US covering some specific details of the campaign. then he launched his YT channel soon after that.

I don't think forum members need to give him support.well, supporting SOTT is a better priority IMO. maybe one of his broadcasts could be featured on SOTT though.

Good idea!

So were's the catch... Gotta be one!

That's what I've been wondering, hence why I brought it up here...so far I don't see any 'catch,' but we will have to see how long he is permitted to continue in such an uncensored manner...

OK, one small catch I guess. Just read this on his FB page:

Ive been wanting to get this off my chest for a while now and im sure a lot of people would like to know as well. You work for FOX News the same Fox News that lies to the public on a daily basis! Are WXIX’s ratings so bad that they are allowing you to speak your mind?

[quote author=Ben Swann]
Ronnie, the truth is we are a Raycom owned station... not a FOX station. The only connection we have to FOX is to carry FOX entertainment programming like American Idol

That's not a catch as I see it.

Edit. Gotta be another one...

Shot in the dark here, but, since it does coincide with an election run up, perhaps this is a way of inflicting harm to Obama's credibility. There's already a significant amount of people who suspect Obama is a Muslim terrorist, so it wouldn't take much for some of them to think he somehow is supporting terrorists. Romney never has to even bring the topic up to benefit from the connection some may make.

On the other hand, it is news and, although MSM doesn't often take on such subjects, there are still several journalists who see the contradiction of fighting an enemy in one war and supporting them in another, not to mention their awareness of the CIA's involvement in the formation of al qaeda. They just can't get a lot of traction from their editors or publishers.

Maybe follow the money and find out what party the broadcaster supports financially.

I think that even 'looking' like they are associated with Fox News will flick a switch in some peoples minds to the 'off' position. My husband posts on and reads a forum where he pointed out some pictures to me that were posted in their Presidential Election thread with regards to Fox : I get the impression that people may simply look at the 'source' of the news, assume it is put forward by Fox who are known for reporting rubbish, and tar that news with the same brush because it's not 'mainstream'.

I have linked the pictures featured which show Fox to 'skew' charts and maps (etc) to trick the mind to accept their point of view. I know these aren't really 'on topic', but I found them interesting none the less.

Perhaps, but he recently did a great report recently blasting the Republicans as well, just as harshly. At the end of the NDAA segment he even goes so far as to say: ‎"Americans had better wake up from this left-right paradigm, because if they don't, soon we won't be electing a chief executive, we will be choosing one person to rule us all..."

Maybe follow the money and find out what party the broadcaster supports financially.

I think this is a good idea. I'll check it out tomorrow just to take a glance at it.

I don't have the time right now, but it might also be interesting to get a timeline on him. When did he start speaking out like this? We might be able to link the behaviour to other events.

I first came across Ben Swann towards the beginning of the Republican primaries. He was talking straight back then, pointing out the 'alleged' voter fraud re: Ron Paul. My jaw dropped the first time I saw his reality check. I thought: "On FOX?!?!?!? wtf??"

A couple more interesting recent pieces by this anchor:

Reality Check: 1 on 1 With President Obama, How Does He Justify A Kill List?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrRuNOaNYME&feature=youtu.be

Reality Check: One on One With Romney, Did Romney Really Not Know About RNC & Maine
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llg-a8FamJg

They may not actually be "Fox News" but they are still managing to get doors opened that other indy journalists could only dream of! Fascinating to watch this guy continue onward, imo.

to get that straight Ben Swann actually talks to Obama himself one by one about his Kill list in the first video??
how is it that this "low level" truth telling local "Fox News" anchor Ben Swann can get the permission to interview Obama personally infron of cameras?
and on Top of that about such topics?

really something isn't right about that IMO. anyone who really is up to the truth would never be allowed to interview Obama personally infront of cameras about such Topics IMO.

just think about how big the possibility for any journalist is to get a personal interview infront of cameras with Obama.... and now think about the
probability that such a journalist would be anything like a truth seeker or truth teller...

it's kind of strange. I believe both Obama and Romney were in Ohio for these interviews, so that helps with the logistics. you would have to compare it to other interviews obama / romney are giving to local stations, to figure out who probable it is or not.
