Ran into a video about Bermeja island (belonging to Mexico) formerly located in the gulf or Mexico/gulf of america (you pick the name lol)
so the island was in several maps for years and now it cannot be found.
One theory suggests that the island was destroyed by the US in order to turn it into international waters thus giving the US access to its resources
This is a curiosity question but, did this island ever even existed?
