Over the late summer out here in the PNW we were treated to a demonstration of small-town ponerogenic union when the mayor of the tulip capital decided its native son deserved the key to the city. Of all the coverage of the outrage it induced none of it summed up the overreaching misappropriation of political power it represented and its insidious roots. But now we have a report on the carcass of such a political structuring, and with insight into the ponerogenisis of military support.

Bill for Glenn Beck Day stuns Mount Vernon

The article is an eye opener for me to discover Beck's credentials for the punditry he tackles consist of being a Top-40 DJ for a station here in Seattle.

Mount Vernon is truly a jewel (even while situated on I-5) with the Skagit River flowing through, the rich farmland (from which my raspberries harken) and the tulip festival and all. But watching the mayor exploit his office to award a teleprompter reader of a news station of dubious perspectives with a key to the city due to the notoriety of that op-ed news network really defiles the good name of the town. I have friends who grew up there that are just ashamed.
