Bill Gates makes $10 billion pledge to develop vaccines for poorest countries

DAVOS, Switzerland — Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda, say their foundation will donate $10 billion US over the next decade to research new vaccines and bring them to the world's poorest countries.

Bill Gates said in a statement issued on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos that "we must make this the decade of vaccines."

Gates added that "innovation will make it possible to save more children than ever before."

Wow, now Gates is tied into something to do with the vaccine conspiracies -- to the tune of $10 BILLION!! I wonder if this is also supposed to lend some weight/support for the pro-vaccine crowd in light of all the heat they are taking. Could we now see some pharma companies making some massive new purchases of Microsoft products? :)

Maybe just my suspicious mind but the little play with words in saying 'to save more children' instead of 'to save more children from....'

So I would have to ask ,who or what are they saving them FOR ?
