Amazing image! Ancients would probably have said it was the image of a god.

That is awesome! And it does serve to remind us that when modern researchers have discounted ancient descriptions of 'wonders in the sky' and sky gods as being metaphoric, they were often nothing of the sort!

Re: Western Anatolia (Turkey)

"Wonders in the Sky" Yes.....!!! :)

edit: whoops, I only meant to post one picture but I see the second one is lighter and easier to see for some reason, so good I guess.

Re: Western Anatolia (Turkey)

Awesome images, Scyth. I wonder what the C's would make of those.

Thanks for sharing. They are pretty ominous clouds :scared:

I wonder if it used as a cloaking mechanism, hiding something else and/or what this 3 density appearance is an expression of at a higher level...if any.

Wow...pretty freaky looking cloud formation.

I'm curious about the "official" explanation by the weather "experts" for such a cloud formation.

Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful pictures, they look like half a human head with open mouth, kind of intimidating, as it emits a scream ...

I was thinking about the same thing, like a big mouth want to swallow everything and everybody.

The last two paragraphs of the short article:

Söke resident Yasin Toköz filmed the moment and shared it on social media, which led some Twitter users to liken the natural formation to supernatural phenomena.

Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus, often an image or sound, being perceived as significant.

That's a new one! Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia
