* spoiler alert*

I got this movie recently, and was surprised at the righteous anger it triggered. First off, this movie is not that great, except for the first half, where it shows a young boy called Billy who's alcoholic mother hates him and his father.

In the movie, the mother has the father murdered. The mother and her boyfriend then lock Billy in the attic for his whole childhood and treat him like an animal with no affection. The mother is also shown breaking into the attic to rape Billy (whereby she becomes pregnant with an inbred daughter to replace him).

One Christmas day, Billy breaks out of the attic and gets revenge by slaughtering his mother and her boyfriend. He then makes xmas cookies out of his mothers flesh and eats them with milk, and Billy is declared insane and locked up in a mental institute. The rest of the story is about him breaking out of the mental institue and going home to kill the new occupants of his house etc.

I thought the raw sadness in the eyes of Billy was great. Anyone else seen it?

believe or not, apart from the gross back story, the movie has alot of dark humour throughout with the actors and director deliberately hamming it up alot. Probably should have mentioned that at the start.
