Book idea

Over the break I had several ideas for new stories. What thinkgst?
One story has this theme:

"Same ole tricks on every nubile planet in the Universe"

So start the story with Royal Raymond Rife, and the blockage of his virus shattering AM radio frequency signals. At first when radio electronics were new, the low AM band was thought of as very high frequency, so the fact that the conflict between the healing frequencies and the AM broadcast band, ala the FCC, destroyed Rife's method (with a little help from John D. Rockefeller, Jr, and Morris Fishbein) can be viewed as mere coincidence. Or it can be viewed as an early 20th century clear triumph of greed over health.

If Rife's work is true, then this would be one form of universal attack that could work on a lot of planets. Get the idea?

Another very clever one is to create a religion, bind it to the notion of race, and thereby create a completely incorrigible survivalist faction that works together and prefers to stay hidden. Or say, let's us confuse babel tongues to amplify war instead of togetherness... or lets create a central bank that siphons all economic gain away via the debt-based inflationary "mandrake mechanism." Or perhaps there are a whole set of things that undo the current science view and advance the observer to a higher awareness, so these must be attacked to hold us down.

The perspective outlined, then the question becomes what kind of plot vehicle could be the bearer of such notions in a friendly and entertaining way. And that ... becomes a very interesting question!

Any ideas? THANK YOU!!

...in a friendly and entertaining way? For a moment there, I thought you were serious.

If you are serious, then considering this:

The Plot is a natural outcome of the seeds of your story—it emerges from your setup of the characters, their conflicts and the setting they occur in.

...it appears the only way to do this is to have your hero and villan do their stuff in a "friendly and entertaining way".

Is that even doable? If it is, then don't forget the girl, who by the way, is the creative force behind the whole adventure unbeknownst to the readers until the final chapter.

Whatsa "Plot"?

A plot is basically the main idea of your story, based on conflict.

"All fiction is based on conflict and this conflict is presented in a structured format called PLOT."

Here are the elements of a plot:
1. Exposition
The introductory material which gives the setting, creates the tone, presents the characters, and presents other facts necessary to understanding the story.
2. Foreshadowing
The use of hints or clues to suggest what will happen later in the story.
3. Inciting Force
The event or character that triggers the conflict.
4. Conflict
The essence of fiction. It creates plot. The conflicts we encounter can usually be identified as one of four kinds. (Man versus…Man, Nature, Society, or Self)
5. Rising Action
A series of events that builds from the conflict. It begins with the inciting force and ends with the climax.
6. Crisis
The conflict reaches a turning point. At this point the opposing forces in the story meet and the conflict becomes most intense. The crisis occurs before or at the same time as the climax.
7. Climax
The climax is the result of the crisis. It is the high point of the story for the reader. Frequently, it is the moment of the highest interest and greatest emotion. The point at which the outcome of the conflict can be predicted.
8. Falling Action
The events after the climax which close the story.
9. Resolution (Denouement)
Rounds out and concludes the action.

"Don't let your focus be the Plot, which is the series of events and situations that occur along the route of your story. The Plot is a natural outcome of the seeds of your story—it emerges from your setup of the characters, their conflicts and the setting they occur in. You'll write a more powerful, believable story if you focus on seed planting long before you worry about the harvest."

Good luck =)

Nice Buddy! Thanks. Good advice. I love to write, my last novel was made by defining characters and setting first. What I discovered was that by doing so, writing the story became a wild ride instead of turning the crank, and 440 pages took 10 months, not 24. I simply cannot believe the result, every time I look at it. I turned out nothing at all like I originally envisioned - thank goodness! And the other factor is equally if not more interesting. Just your response alone, though it had no specifics knocked me through to the heart of the creative idea I had not yet had. So thanks! And how does that work exactly?!?

Reference is the monomyth join. If you see several literary works and also both
cinema, the element of monomyth is practically always present. Joseph Campbell wrote a great book you may already know, "the hero with a thousand faces".
