A man who had allegedly plotted an attack on law enforcement officers and was under surveillance by the Joint Terrorism Task Force was shot and killed Tuesday morning during a confrontation with a Boston police officer and an FBI agent.

Rahim, 26, who lived in an apartment near the pharmacy, was shot when he "pulled out a military-style knife," police said.

“The officers asked him several times to put that knife down. They gave him several commands. The officers retreated, saying 'Drop your weapon, drop your weapon.' He came within their proximity (so) the officers used deadly force," Evans said, adding that video surveillance confirmed the officers' account.

Oh...so when do we get to see said video?

Ibrahim Rahim, the brother of the dead man, wrote in a Facebook post his brother was waiting at a bus stop to go to his job when he was confronted by police.

"He was confronted by three Boston Police officers and subsequently shot in the back three times," he wrote. "He was on his cell phone with my dear father during the confrontation needing a witness."

Today's update:

Hub community leaders today were shown video footage of yesterday's shooting death of a 26-year-old Roslindale man who was being monitored by terror investigators -- spurring some to dismiss claims by his family that he was shot in the back by police, while others reserved judgment, calling the video "vague."

'Family calls for 'complete and transparent' investigation of Usaama Rahim's death'

Family members did not speak at the today, but Sullivan vowed they would, soon. First, he said they had to get through the process of burying Rahim, 26. Sullivan declined to say where.

However, Sullivan acknowledged that brother Ibrahim's initial Facebook comments, that his brother was shot in the back by three police officers, was wrong - and was based on third-party comments he had seen on social media.
