I would like to share an experience that I have the last year in my searching of the things.... The last year I went to a place name Brama Kumaris where there were a lot of meditations and good articles about the peace, love good feelings !!! , I went there because one friend that told me that It was good to go there to have peace... well I went and try to connect with the meditation and the articles and so, but I felt that there are something "missing" that I could´nt see, I dont know why but I did not feel secury there, otherwise I still go and stay for a course of " Meditation technique" so they teach about the cycle of the humanity : the " gold age - silver- ect " but they in the final of the course said we meet "GOD" all years he came here to the earth and teach us all this things :O  :scared: , they say they go to india all years to meet "SHIVA" as your GOD and one girl channelled to feel all love and peace that SHIVA gave to them !!!!! I run away from them inmediately and never back again, that´s interesting that I read in one article of the Cs that the new age make all this sense of GOOD Feeling around the people so they can stay quite and dont think, dont ask, just fell so they could be a good meet later  :(... After this experience I realize that this group was an ONU - universities group !!!
I wonder if there are someone who know this group

I am peripherally aware of the brahmakumari (BK) group. There are some distinct features of this group as opposed to other Hindu spiritual groups.
- It is predominantly composed of women
- Rather than solely relying on scriptures, they also rely on revelations from trance states or channeling

BKs stress on meditation (guided meditations with some visualization) as the main tool to cleanse the body and mind. Ordained BK members are celibate and follow a vegetarian diet. Some talks given by BK members that I have listened to did use logical thinking (kind of like active reasoning of Gurdjieff) along with meditations to tame the mind. The goal was to always remember that the soul is what matters the most and the body is only a garment of the soul. BKs also offer most of their programs for free.
I am not very aware of the BK view on cosmology. Wikipedia says that they believe in an impending end of the world scenario and hints that their practices are aimed towards achieving a dominant position in the new world that is expected to be created. There have apparently been predictions about the end of the world through mediumistic revelations and when such predictions do not come true, it is alleged in Wikipedia that the BKs remove them from the teachings. They have had the "cult" label thrown at them and people have persecuted them from the inception of the group in the 1930s accusing them among other things of breaking up families.
I do not have enough data to form a definitive opinion on their spiritual orientation. But from what I have read, there are quite a few positive signs. There is a shamanistic component in their group, they do have a network, they provide many meditation programs and services free of charge, they are predominantly composed of women (women have less incidence of psychopathy than men in general and all-women spiritual groups of a significant size is not common in this predominantly patriarchal world), they talk about upcoming destruction in this world (since before the birth of the new age phenomenon as per my understanding) etc. They are socially active and have worked on solar energy projects. They have an environmental sustainability wing that works on programs geared towards developing a "environmentally sustainable conscious society". They have centres in 100 countries. Their official website is "_http://www.bkwsu.org". This group may be worth some more digging into imo.

Hi obyvatel

Thanks for your information, I went there because I was looking for meditation guide, but when they began to talk about GOD is SHIVA and they meet with this GOD every year in India because they channelled it, I felt that there were something missing for me.... .the channeling per se is not totally free of interference so I decided to look about that.

I found that was Dada Lekhraj the founder of BK religion,he was an Hindu when he began to channel Shiva then appears Brama baba which is another GOD who teach women to be priestesses, each person have to follow the steps: This consists of the daily practice of meditation, listening and sharing knowledge and wisdom of Raja Yoga, attitude of service and generosity, celibacy, vegetarianism and not smoke or drink alcohol.

But then when I read the C´s information in Laura´s information from the web and books, when the people talk about " send light, love, meditate and sit all day doing that", first it doesn't change anything and then that is not the way you could have knowledge to growth... how the soul will growth if I sit all day meditating ? Maybe to be a good meal I guess ? There's a C's information when they described how all this things can be more a model to feed the STS beings ....

It is true that they talk about the end of the world which they say going to be soon and the cycle will begging another again and it always does....and they argue that it never changes if you are this life a artisan then you will be again in the next cycle we never growth all the things will happen in the same way as it did until today, they have a lot of information that we can read in several religions.

There's must be good information inthere but like always all this information change after the time. After all information that I can read in the forum and books, I have change my point of view when I heard that someone channeled Beings... they must have good things but what I felt when the girls says " Shiva is my GOD " I don't know doesn't like it....

Regards ,

Zim
