The Dutch media is reporting a bright fireball seen yesterday during dusk, around 7PM local time.

I saw the news first at this location. Has some nice pictures: _http://www.nu.nl/algemeen/2101383/heldere-vuurbol-zichtbaar-boven-nederland.html

Later I found more photo's taken by a photographer named Robert Mikaelyan who was lucky enough to be outside taking pictures when he suddenly saw the meteor. He took six pictures of it in three seconds. Though he mistakenly calls it a Comet, his pictures are really nice!

I presume Robert Mikaelyan owns copyright to these images. Just stating that for the record. I found them on his website: _http://fotoarena.nl/index.html

Yesterday evening 19 p.m, people in Belgium have seen a fireball . The witnesses were afraid and called the local police.

The Meteorite was very bright and did'nt hit the ground but exploded in three pieces. A sort of thundering sound was heard and the building were

shaken

This event was covert in the newspapers and the television , it was said that such events were reported several times this year !

Lots of people all over the Netherlands saw and heard it, and since Belgium is right next door, it's probably the same one.

I've seen quite a few of this from high altitude but nothing like that in the picture and it seems to be quite low in the atmosphere. Thanks for reporting this. :cool2:
