Two British tourists were barred from entering America after joking on Twitter that they were going to 'destroy America' and 'dig up Marilyn Monroe'.
Leigh Van Bryan, 26, was handcuffed and kept under armed guard in a cell with Mexican drug dealers for 12 hours after landing in Los Angeles with pal Emily Bunting.
The Department of Homeland Security flagged him as a potential threat when he posted an excited tweet to his pals about his forthcoming trip to Hollywood which read: 'Free this week, for quick gossip/prep before I go and destroy America'.

Humor is in the eyes of the beholder. One may laugh at the remark, another may cry, yet another may consider them as fighting words. There was a time when ignorant people could make ignorant remarks. That time may be passing. Methinks that from the gubemint perspective, there is no humor, only examples to use as tools for "teaching" the population.

And I thought the French police had a monopoly on acting like Keystone Kops! I guess not.

The comments about hystericization of society just before it goes down the tubes found in "Political Ponerology" would go nicely with this.

Indeed.

I did not find it funny. Rather ridiculous.

Especially when we consider what it means to actually 'destroy America',
something that the mindless morons working at DHS are undoubtedly responsible for.

Not solely responsible, but, they play their part nonetheless.
