I'd like to ask about who inspired Buddha and Lao Tzu to form buddhism and taoism. Since they differ much from western religions, i would be happy to know their source.
Have you done any of your own research into this question? Can you summarize it here? That's usually the first prerequisite before a question to the Cs is considered.

Buddhism & Taoism in their original formats (or certainly when you consider their original drive to inquire into the human mind/condition) feel to me like an STO orientational thought process. I'd like to believe all genuine searches for 'truth' are driven through an awakening of STO feelings/thought processes.
However, as with most good work, once STS gets its hands on it, it acquires any number of distortions. (i.e. re-written and modified texts, plagiarism, controls etc).
Talking of distortions - maybe the easiest way to sum up an STO orientated activity is to say it is one that has (or seeks to have) the least amount of distortion from 'the source'/'7th D/our true reality/free will'. And STS is one that distorts (or attempts to distort) us from 'the source'/'7th D/our true reality/free will'?
