canadian psychopath

I watched this on a Canadian show called fifth estate and I think we got a live one (it's rather long but insightful)

it takes an interesting turn

Hi, could you provide a brief synopsis for those people who cannot watch video via the internet?

most certainly....it's about a man, Sandy Munroe who is struggling to have his "kidnapped" wife, Helie returned to Canada. She was an alzheimer specialist married for forty years to Sandy (she was sole bread winner) and was herself entering into the early stages of alzheimer when she apparently vanished. Her brother from England came to visit and one day she was just "gone".
Sandy presents himself as a devoted, loving husband who is on a mission to get his beloved wife returned. He even gets the support of MP's along with many others. As the story continues, things get revealed that just aren't adding up. One begins to wonder IF it was a kidnapping or a heroic brother rescuing his sister from a psychopaths clutches.
It's very interesting watching and listening to his responses as some difficult questions get asked. Quite a show. His son is basically in hiding and they manage to track him down and he seems like a thoughtful, stable, healthy minded young man (his therapist backs this up) and the son basically describes his father as a highly manipulative person. When the interviewer mentioned earlier they'd like to speak to his son, the father, presenting himself as a concerned parent, asks them not too volunteering that his son has mental issues and he doesn't want him upset.
When the interviewer returns from interviewing the son, she reveals to sandy what the son has said and sandy becomes quite upset however, now, the mental issues the son supposedly has, are used to cast doubt on the information the son has revealed. It's a very good demonstration of a psychopath and how he tricks. I think he wants her return primarily for financial reasons and of course to keep control.
