Hello,

since yesterday I cannot log out myself anymore from the forum, the message I get when trying is the following:

Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

This message I get also when I like to quote a post from someone else.

I'm using safari 5.02.

***edit***

And when I like to post something, I something written in red:

The following error or errors occurred while posting this message:
Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message.

I'm not terribly familiar with Safari, but I have had that issue once or twice with various PC browsers.

I think it could have something to do with either saving one's login credentials to log in automatically from the browser, or with cookies.

_http://www.aboutcookies.org/Default.aspx?page=2 is a page with instructions on how to clear the cookies out of any browser, including Safari. It may be a good idea to clear the cookies, and any temporary files/info, from the browser. This will give you a 'clean slate' so to speak.

Keep in mind, that all cookies are removed by this process, so any websites where you have saved your logon/password info, will likely also be cleared. But, this is a good thing to do regularly, for both privacy and maintenance concerns.

In my case, I think it may have also had to do with setting my Session timer to wait 32,000 minutes before it logs me out, so make sure you haven't done that. :)

In addition to what Jason said, you might also see such a message (or something similar) if you have several forum pages open and you log out of the forum on one of those and then forget you did so. If you then try to log out or post to the forum, there will be an error such as that.

This has happened to me once or twice. :)

Thanks for the advices. I did clean all the caches than can be cleaned on my computer, but nothing changed to the good. Also when I like to quote or edit my posts, I get an error message.

I will try to close all the tabs that are open and see if that does change something, if this doesn't work I may go for Firefox then.

Did you also quit and restart Safari?

Okay problem solved, I tracked it down to a small and actually really cool program: "cooliris" which caused the problems and forced safari to 32 bit. So I had to uninstall it.

Thanks again for the input.
