Hello,
I wanted to wait and see what will happen bbefore commenting on this incident.
First of all, government banned the TV channels to report the news from the region, which is highly unusual. Right now only government officials are giving information on TV and nobody interviews the people at Reyhanli.
I think there are couple of reasons for this. Government blames Syrian state but the people in the region blame Turkish government and members of Free Syrian Army. They said as much in interviews before the ban and cursed at prime minister. This is rather interesting because this town voted %68 for the ruling party today. This shift can only explained. by their dissatisfaction with Turkish government's policies for Syrian conflict.
In addition, there are reports from peopleon the ground that the actual death toll is around 177 as opposed to 43 and government wants to hide the actual numbers. There is a news floating that a journalist who reported these numbers is now arrested.
General reaction from the Turkish people I saw on internet is that it is either a false flag to justify Turkish attack on Syria, or it is militants related to Al Qaeda (Nusra Front in FSA) trying to get more help from Turkey and USA. Syrian government refused the allegations, yet this did not persuade the Turkish government and they say they caught 9 Turkish citizens with ties to Syrian Intelligence Agencies.
The people in the region really hate the refugees and they say crime rate, theft and prostution has increased a lot since these people came in. So after the explosion, they supposedly attacked Syrian refugees wherever they saw them.
I don't know whether this would lead to a war, but I think Turkey is too afraid to attack alone and wants other countries to join. Considering Netanyahu apologized for Gaza Flotilla raid recently because of Syrian conflict, I think Israel would be more than happy to accompany Turkey.

This explosion also coincides with Turkish Prime Minister's trip to US. I wonder what will they talk about there?
My two cents, fwiw.
