Car dream

This weekend a friend of mine had a dream about rocks falling, her city was destroyed, and she was looking for her car who was not there where she had parked it (the car, in some books, symbolises one's life or one's journey, I think).

She told me about it casually, and then I explained what I thought it could be (something wicked this way comes... :-). She was surprised but interested.
It seems that people is already dreaming with the meteor shower!

The car is also related to one´s physical body and as you say, our psychologic state of mind. I´ve had a lot of dreams with driving my car in such a dark night that I couldn´t see anything. Or a man I didn´t know driving may car and me sitting next to him trying to get him out of the car, or still driving on a fungous road, fearing my car could turn over at any moment. Another one was a man standing outside of my car, trying to catch me through the door and was horrified to see how his arm simply got through the door, which made me then aware I was in a dreamstate and at thas point, my physical life was also really in a very compromised situation. I think there is also a great synchronicity between mechanic or car accident issues and the situation I´m experiencing at a given moment, but this would be part of another thread.

So, I also think much probable people is going to have or recall increasingly more dreams with car crash or disapparition like your friend did, all related to the coming earth change.

very interesting indeed!

Cars can express how we drive our lives. Sometimes I dream of cars that are too small for me, or cars that are driven by crazy people. Other times I am the driver, I can drive a truck very well. Sometimes even my car, in my dream, does not have tires! It is a very interesting symbol. I used to have a nightmare, recurrent, of a tragedy in a highway, a sort of pile-up, with many death bodies. I was very bad psychologically, yes indeed. ;) So cars, houses, are we, but cars have the notion of movement, like bicycles or trains or airplanes. How are we traveling in our lives? :)

But I think in the dream of your friend what is really interesting is the destruction of the city.

Thank you all for bringing this up and elaborating on it as well. It brought to surface memories of a similar dream I repeatedly have had on and off in recurrent clusters, especially the 'unable to find where I parked my vehicle' variety. Many times I try in my dream to do some sort of mental flyby to retrace the route I followed to where I left it and where it should be standing, but to no avail. It's not really a nightmare but nevertheless discomforting enough. Haven't had this dream for years, but noticed its reemergence lately. Thanks for helping me remember as I'm not very good at that and not sufficiently interested in trying hard to recollect.

Pity though this is becoming a thing of the past, since electronic carkeys can help you locate your vehicle and the spot where it is residing by activating the alarm.

Well, for me the interesting thing was that she dreamed about a shower of meteorites falling down the sky, but ok, since the discussion turned about the car, that is also, for her that she was not going to survive, as her car "was not there". :-)

It is always difficult to analyse one dream, in fact we should never analyse a dream. But in that case, if the car was not there maybe is a good sign! The car is not under the rocks also.

How strange are our dreams. Some days before 9/11 I had a dream about an explosion in a building that was my university. It was a nightmare and I wrote it in my journal. I just read it maybe one year later and see that at that moment something in my dream was telling me something. Maybe your friend had a dream of a future that can happen? we don't know.

Looks like the info on this thread may have influenced me or that my subconscious mind may have wanted to use it to convey a message. I have dreamt tonight with cars. In fact, i was driving a big black car, 4x4, which i hardly could control as the brakes were malfunctioning. I was going down a road full of small stones and sand, and another car o cars were coming behind with no control, as the drivers were dead. Some of the cars had killed people crashing into them (pedestrians) and i was trying to control the car with no breaks, to avoid people and the other cars with dead drivers.
Really curious dream.

This is more a nightmare than anything else  It reminds me my nightmare of the high-way with all the dead bodies. Maybe you should interpret your dream? Interesting!

 Now that you mentioned it, it looks that way! ;) But I recall feelings of just being "alert" just not to crash the car and kill someone along with it. Fear was not present as far as I remember, maybe (just maybe) it could be that I was aware of what was going on there, who knows!
