Chaos

Hello!

Tomorrow are the presidential elections here. The whole contry is upside down, we have one candidate that is an ex military commander with accusations of killing people in combat, covering up for corrupt people like Vadimiro Montesisnos and receiving money bonuses from drug traffic. On the other hand we have the daughter of one of the most corrupts Presidents of Peru's history, that is really young and many people don't trust her...

The feeling in the streets is hopelessness, people are fighting, it's just not a good situation. The economy is really great, but socially Perú is falling apart, and the population to. We are separated, the poor-rich, gay-straght, right-left, Keiko-Ollanta. The decisions we are force to make, have put a more present division on the population, even inside families, for example nor my family or friends know for what candidate I'm voting for, if they knew, they'll be really upset, for what? Just some stupid presidential elections, no matter who wins, we are on a collision course (or curse) and no man or woman can pull us aside of the road.

Only one self can change one self course.

I just wanted to share the chaos that is on my mind, I couldn't take it, especially because here, when you talk about the subject or something related to it, people get fired up and it's just a pain to bare. Anyway I don't think I'll be voting tomorrow cuz I can't find my ID...

That sux EGVG. Its seems that not one corner of the planet is free from chaos right now, be it of a political or environmental agenda. While I am in no position to respond specifically about the political state of your country as I know nothing of it, personally I feel that all each of us can do on a Global scale is continue to work on ourselves.

I just wanted to share the chaos that is on my mind, I couldn't take it, especially because here, when you talk about the subject or something related to it, people get fired up and it's just a pain to bare.

Chaos seems to be the natural state of the mind during these mind-numbing elections. People have become so identified with labels, this vs that, that nobody can think straight and see things as they are, as you have been able to do. All they know is that they have to defend their "this" or their "that", no matter the cost, which usually ends up being fairly high. Is this coincidence?

The only choices we have anymore where politics are concerned are evil or more evil. That's the state of the world today.

I think that fisheye is correct, all we can really do is work on ourselves, only helping others when truly asked, and then in the most objective way.

Hang in there, EVGV. Eventually, this too shall pass.

Hello fisheye and Nienna Eluch! It's true, the one thing we can do to actually make a difference in today's world is to work on ourselves. I've been doing lots of EE, and yesterday after posting this and before going to bed I had a pretty intense session...
I can't wait for this presidential elections buzz leaves town, right now I'm heading out to vote, I really have faith that I'm choosing the less evil option.

Peru has a new president,51% of the population elected him, what about the other 49%?... Democracy creates social chaos, one looses one wins, why can't we all win? It's meant to be this chaotic...

What would be the predecessor of the lying democratic system implanted to rule some parts of the world be? I think the World Government should come out of the closet, then I guess the people could see that they always lose, no matter the president they have elect as their lieder. But really, why would they come out? If they have been so carefull of not being discoverd.
The world it's been dupe by the so called democracy that we live in, creates an illusion that the prayers of millions of poor and ill and of course all of us the deceived are being heard and taken into solutions and relief, but in reality we've been duped.

Just some thoughts on this day, I'm going to do some EE now and then to sleep
