Charlie Kirk is dead... A sad day in history

A recent rerun of NCIS New Orleans involved a professional sniper and I'm pretty sure his kill shots were to the carotid artery, although an FBI agent with sniper skills killed him from a long distance with a shot to the chest. Even if wrong on that, plenty of coroner autopsy dialog covered carotid artery fatal vulnerability. And, wasn't the knife attack on the Ukrainian immigrant woman all about stabbing the carotid artery which caused her to rapidly bleed out? Lots of exposure regarding that.

Was the old guy the designated patsy just like all the "lone gunman" assassinations that have gone before? I'm leaning to a professional hit, but there's an abundance of crazies nowadays (particularly via the clotshot), so who knows at this point. More info needed.

Just now reading posts that Kirk has apparently died. Horrible and too tragic.
 
Wow, just a few days ago there was the young Ukranian girl who was stabbed in the neck and now Charlie Kirk shot in the neck. Weird.

Is it possible they aimed for the heart or head and missed and got the carotid artery instead? I read online that it would take exceptional accuracy and knowledge of anatomy to intentionally hit the carotid from that distance, having to factor in drift etc, but if it was a professional, anything is possible. Alex Jones suggested it could've ricocheted off of body armor, but in other pictures of Kirk from the event it doesn't look like he's wearing any, or it is very thin.

Yeah from the video you shared Luc it looks like a couple of the people at the back turn to the right after the shot, as if looking to where the shot came from (see 0:05).
 
I only heard other people talk of him, so not sure who Charlie Kirk is, but I stumbled upon the video of his shooting while scrolling on X and it is shocking. This shouldn't be happening anywhere. I hope his death sobers up and unites at least the rest of the US political commentators. Whoever is behind this, the message sent is "this could be you, anytime, anywhere".

BTW, there was another school shooting in Colorado a few hours ago

He was a conservative voice most well known for going to college campuses and talking to/debating liberals over their viewpoints. He was always respectful doing this, something I thought was a quality of his. I didn't agree with everything he said, he was very pro-Israel. But he had a wife and young children. Terrible.

He was one of the most influential voices on the right, especially for Gen-Z/millenials. He was the founder of Turning Point USA, which has grown into being one of the largest national conservative organisation in the US. He did a lot of work to support Trump's campaigns, and his reach was vast. Despite being a zionist, he seemed like a genuinely good guy who has solid values.

Its a real tragedy.

This might very well be a "turning point"

Doing what he did the way he did it got more Lefties to change their opinions than most anything anyone else ever did. He may have had some blind spots but he seemed to genuinely be trying to get people to change their minds and was on to something about how to do it.

Maybe that's why he was chosen. Too much heart and a perfect person to kill if you want to stoke tensions.

Iryna Zarutska was killed on August 22nd, but the video of the stabbing was released more recently, Sept 5th, which is suspect on its own.

But the neck stabbing/shooting is very weird indeed, and seems like a sign of sorts. Neck is what connects head and torso, intellect and emotion, whatever that might mean in this case.
