That suspect seems a bit suspect to me.

Right before he was shot, Kirk was asked:

"Do you know how many mass shootings there have been in America over the last 10 years?"

According to US media reports, the shot came from more than 200 yards away, hitting him precisely in the carotid artery, suggesting a professional shooter.
 
And the NYT is reporting that the suspect is not the suspect:

The police have determined that a person who was taken into custody after the shooting was not actually the shooter, according to Scott Trotter, a university spokesman. The university had earlier said a suspect was in custody, and videos online showed an older man being detained by police officers.

That is shocking. People, be warned, the actual video is really not something you want to see, probably. Seeing that really got to me man. I never particularly liked the guy, but seeing him get shot like that just sitting and talking into his mic. I don't know. It just made me sick. What the hell is going on over in the US? This is getting seriously out of hand. And it's most likely another trans shooter.

Say what you will about the right to bear arms, but this sort of thing is practically endemic to the US for some reason.
