I went to see that exhibition a couple of days ago and I found it utterly beautiful.

The MMFA present as a Canadian exclusive the artwork of the American artist Dale Chihuly.

An immersive, astounding and grandiose visual experience, this exhibition – the first major Dale Chihuly show to be presented in Canada – is organized by the MMFA in partnership with the Chihuly Studio. The SAQ and its "Adding Value to Glass" programme is the exhibition's presenting sponsor in Montreal in collaboration with the Museum’s Volunteer Association.

Indeed and I can easily understand why it might be described that way. If I were there, that description would probably even be an understatement from my point of view.

I checked out your other pictures too. It seems my imagination can easily get lost in all the beautiful, elegant, sparkly, fragile patterns and forms in glass. And the incredible lighting effects! Wow!

Thank you, for sharing, Gandalf :) I saw his work in person five years ago, and It's really amazing, osit. Before that, I saw a documentary about a project of Dale Chihuly and his team putting these glass installations all over the world. It was on PBS, called "Fire and Light." Preview can be seen here _http://www.aptonline.org/catalog.nsf/vLinkTitle/CHIHULY+FIRE+LIGHT

Here is two part documentary about the glass making process used for making his creations ( I must add that this is a really team process: the role of the actual glass masters blowing and forming glass should not be underestimated, osit)
