Thought I post this article from the English language daily in Santiago, Chile.
I have lots of respect for current day prosperous democratic Chile, a country who voted against approval of US military intervention in Iraq as a temporary member of the UN Security Council, rejected the US invite to join NAFTA deciding instead to negotiate separate one-on-one trade deals, the low-key way the Chilean Insulza (supported by Chavez) became Secretary General of the OAS beating out the US favored candidate from Mexico, and that Chile was the only country not to charge citizens and non-citizens when it airlifted people escaping Lebanon.
Saludos to all SoTT'ers from way way way down south.
