On the globalresearch.ca website under the news section there an item about a US veteran claiming that America used a nuclear bomb near Basra in 1991. ( This story is also on thetruthseeker.co.uk site)I'm just wondering why this story has now suddenly emerged 17 years after the alleged event? Imagine the following scenario. Perhaps in a short while the US government will concede that a large non-nuclear bunker busting type bomb was, in fact, the weapon used (thus accounting for the seismic reading). And they further state that these large exploding bombs give off the appearance of detonated nuclear devices (mushroom cloud and all). OK, now a wander down paranoia road.
If an attack against Iran by Israel and the US happens in the not-to-distance future and mini-nukes are used, when a global cry of outrage ensues the US/Israeli governments would claim that no nuclear devices were used only massive bunker busting bombs. They could then point out about prior claims of nuclear weapons being used in the first Gulf War and how they turned out to be incorrect -large bombs were used- and that is what is happening now in the case of Iran.
And as for any large radiations readings after the attack - these would originate from the destroyed Iranian nuclear facilities.
And quite possibly many would buy this explanation.
Or so I'd have it.
