Class in Economics

Our economics teacher started the first class of the year like this:

Shortly, I will give you my first lecture of ten minutes on economics, the rest of the year we will study the curriculum dictated by the rich.

And he went on:
Economics is divided into three subtopics: Trade, politics and war

1. Those who want to earn up to a million dollars will go engage in trade
2. Those who want to earn up to a million dollars will go into politics
3. And those who want to earn more than a million dollars will make (start) a war.

I would have to agree with your teacher. It seems to me that he has hit it correctly and is telling it like it truly is!! I did some research on ordinary people who come into money, such as winning the lottery, etc., and the vast majority end up broke. Why does this happen, because the PTB don't want anyone else trying to join there club. They do anything and everything to make sure that these people soon find the way back to where they belong..........

Actually, I'd argue that the vast majority of those who win lots of money on the lottery go broke because of appalling financial mismanagement. I've read about many people winning in excess of a million dollars and then spending it on ridiculous, unnecessary things like big-screen televisions and fancy sports cars, rather than investing it wisely. However with the way the world economy is going now, perhaps it would be wise to spend money on physical goods rather than investing it (as long as the things you buy can be re-sold or traded in future, of course).
