Cold Souls

Cold Souls: Very funny and very original. Paul Giamatti plays an actor named Paul Giamatti (Sideways) who, while rehearsing for a play finds his soul growing so heavy under the weight of the material that, when he hears of a doctor who extracts and stores souls, he decides to undergo the procedure. Unburdened, Giamatti’s life becomes more easygoing but even more intolerable than it was before. He demands his soul back from the doctor, but a small snafu involving the Russian black market leads him on a path that gives new meaning to the term “soul searching.” Interesting to see this great actor’s transformations.

Yes this was pretty good, reminded me of being john Malcovich... it illustrates well that bizarre truth about suffering and sensitivity that comes with 'soulfullness', where its richer and more satisfying than the lack of, even though it can be so much more painful..... would of liked to see some of the ideas explored more but I'm no film-maker, i.e I'm sure its not easy to do and still keep the film together...
