Comets by Björk

Jedi Master
Björk has released a new song for the upcoming animated film "The Moomins", it is called "The Comets". From The Guardian blog:

The Comet Song – co-written with Icelandic poet, Sjón – summarises the film's plot, which involves our intrepid explorers trying to find out more about a giant comet that's on course to land right in their back garden. The chorus – if you can call it that – is brilliantly blunt: "Comet, oh dammit." Musically, it's all clanking percussion, creepy crawly basslines and that crystalline voice adding gravitas to lyrics such as "we need milk and cakes and a warm bed".

I love Bjork, but sometimes , musically she is scatting on tin ice not always pleasant on the ears -pun intended

this is a good example but I still think she is a great performance artist

scat singing
 –noun Jazz .
singing in which the singer substitutes improvised nonsense syllables for the words of a song, and tries to sound and phrase like a musical instrument.

Thanks corto, yeah some of her work are rather difficult to digest, i personally like her albums Homogenic and Vespertine, but i think she have some irregular albums too. She´s the type of performer who concentrates divided and even polarized opinions, theirs fans love everything she does, and there are others that consider her a pseudo artist.

And about the scatting style wich i really like since i´ve heard Ella Fitzgerald and Louie Armstrong...
here´s a video of Ella singing the classic "How high the moon" scat included :)
