Comparisons of Items- Huangtwins

IMO, an amazing interactive website showing the comparison of small items to large ones. If you click on any of the images shown it has a small description, & you can use the arrow keys or your mouse cursor on the slide bar to scale in & out. I thought some here might be interested. I spend quite some time looking around at this. I hope you find enjoyment also.

Thanks for the link, that was interesting!

They reference to Sirius A and Sirius B and then further out there is VY Canis Majoris; is that the two previous stars' combined luminescence, or is it a separate star? I thought it was Sirius A and B as they appear on earth; i.e. as one big star.

I did a little looking around & it seems that Sirius A & B(dwarf) are together called, Alpha Canis Majoris, while VY Canus Majoris is a separate star altogether. Not an astronomer, myself, but this is what I think is the case.

I am glad you found it interesting also. The way the size differences from very small to very large was an amazing way for folks to see how to compare.IMO
