Murray Hill, Inc. runs for Congress. The brave new world doesn't need humans being Congressmen and Congresswomen. WE HAVE CORPORATIONS!

I don't know whether this belongs in Tickle Me or Our Orwellian World. I will leave that decision to a higher court. ;)

Well it was put in US News on SOTT.

Looks like Murray Hill, Inc is a liberal PR firm that is just trying to make a point about the supreme court ruling by running in the Republican primary. The answers the person gives in the second youtube link posted seem like they belong on the Daily Show. Of course an added reason they did it could be to drum up some business, especially after considering the exposure they've gotten from their add. Or the highly doubtful idea that maybe they were paid by another corporation to test the waters and make a joke out of it as a form of conditioning :ninja: for a future run :ninja:
In this crazy world, best to keep the possibility open. :(

One firm is trying to turn back the clock. Murray Hall Incorporated, a liberal PR firm recently announced that it would run for Congress in the Republican primary in Maryland’s 8th district. “Until now,” Murray Hill Inc. said in a statement, “corporate interests had to rely on campaign contributions and influence peddling to achieve their goals in Washington. But thanks to an enlightened Supreme Court, now we can eliminate the middle-man and run for office ourselves.”

Mr. HENSAL: Yes, it's Maryland Congressional District 8. We're currently working on getting to become a registered voter, which we were just recently rejected. So we have to work on our response to that. But we need to be a registered voter to run in the Republican primary, which is the place we feel would be most hospitable to a corporate candidate. At least initially, but I guess down the road, you know, the logic of the decision again plays out, and the parties really won't be so relevant. But for now, we think the Republican primary would be a place to be.

Link about the documentary and book 'The Corporation' that is worth seeing. Corporations are already treated as people in some respects. The thing is they are treated like a person in some respects, but when they poison, lie, kill, break the law, etc nothing usually happens to the corporation nowadays other than some monetary penalty without admitting guilt. Not only do they seem to be set up in way that psychopaths thrive and rise to the top. The psychopaths are protected when they do evil through the corporation. The psychopath usually doesn't pay if they are particularly smart and hide behind the shield of the corporation.

The documentary shows the development of the contemporary business corporation, from a legal entity that originated as a government-chartered institution meant to effect specific public functions, to the rise of the modern commercial institution entitled to most of the legal rights of a person. One theme is its assessment as a "personality", as a result of an 1886 case in the United States Supreme Court in which a statement by Chief Justice Morrison R. Waite[nb 1] led to corporations as "persons" having the same rights as human beings, based on the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
