The recent article by Niall Bradley, "Reading Celestial Intentions Through the Wrong End of the Telescope: Missiles,UFOs and the Cold War" is interesting from a number of perspectives. What really caught my attention though was Niall's comment regarding Iran's claim of launching a missile already claimed by Russia. In other words, an international cover up. The incident reminds me of a radio show done earlier this year by the Larouche organization on the history of the SDI, or Strategic Defense Initiative (The Larouche Show, March 24th, 2012).
According to that particular show, the SDI concept eventually led to some protracted internal conflicts among the political and military circles of the U.S., and within the former Soviet Union. However, the greatest potential for discovering the truth of things exists in the references made to factions among the various nuclear-armed countries that are cooperating internationally to suppress most scientific forms of national defense other than missile technology. Much of what is discussed in the show could be construed as evidence of high-level coordination to undermine the efforts by scientific and military groups who are of the view that, not only can a more advanced form of technology prevent mutual destruction in war, such technology can also be used to promote the general welfare of the world's population through economic development. In addition, some of the technology referred to has the potential to address the growing concerns related to climate and earth changes as well as mitigate or prevent many of the threats that may be coming by way of cosmic forces.
In all, the bit of history presented in this broadcast left me with the impression that Victor Clube's assertions weren't totally baseless when he stated that, "We do not need the celestial threat to disguise Cold War intentions; rather we need the Cold War to disguise celestial intentions!"
