Could Plainfield NH be Another Waco?

My guess is that the media is overblowing this, but who knows? Local TV news reports that the man's former militia buddies are gathering to "lend him support." He says he has weapons in there. They showed that he has stockpiled food and has rows of car batteries wired in series to power his house, which has plywood nailed across all the windows.

Contacted by Reuters by telephone, Brown said he has paid all his taxes to his town but does not want to pay the federal government.

"The industry and the military are working together to control everything. People don't even know it. Little frogs sitting in boiling water," he said. "The United States of America now is a fascist country."

N.H. tax evader prepares for raid:

CONCORD, N.H. --A former militia man convicted of tax evasion prepared for a government siege Friday at his fortress-like home, but U.S. marshals gave no indication they were planning to confront him.

Ed Brown said he was ready for a swarm of federal agents to descend on his property to execute an arrest warrant issued after he failed to appear for the end of his trial. He and his wife contend that they did not have to pay income taxes, and his supporters say a conflict could be violent. [...]

Brown, 63, and his wife, Elaine, 65, were convicted Thursday of plotting to conceal their income and avoid paying federal income tax. They argued the tax is illegitimate and they are not required to pay it.
Reminds me of Aaron Russo's tax documentary:

so far the media was always downplaying or simply ignoring this kind of stuff. Meaning, that there is an actual movement of people that stop paying the illegal personal income tax.
This is kind of interesting:

Aaron Russo's "America - From Freedom to Fascism" may have something to do with the fact that the IRS want to "take him down" - to send a message!

I had an opportunity to do a video about this. Between the music maker a person who coordinated it and myself it turned out pretty well and I was hoping to share it.

I had read about this situation on the signs page or here on the forum (right here, thanks adpop). There are a few pictures referencing strong language (not in the lyrics).

F*%k yeah! Congratulations. So did you turn the music maker (songwriter/artist?) onto the subject? What is your credit exactly? Did you edit it?

I just put the music to pictures. OpenYourMindsEye.blogspot, com actually did the work of getting a P. Morris to put together the music and asked me to put it to pictures. I think Mr. Morris wrote it all, mixxed the music, created the beat. I'm honestly not sure it that explains it and it could be someone else wrote it (OYME?) or not but I believe the other two person/link were the ones who researched it. They are trying to spread it as much as possible. I think they have 4 other links besides their mutual myspace accounts.

Or 5 to be exact. The links are on my website (RIP 3/23/07). For as long as it is available. I didn't quite expect a "flunk yeah" out of you, though that is just my perception of you fifth-way, thanks for the kudo's. The visual went unedited. They implied it was just right from my second run (I didn't want it to end with the owl so I added the last two pictures..).

Edit: BTW your (logo.. picture.. cursor.. image.. damn limited vocabulary) image thingy was what partially inspired this older video from the 3rd of last month. "AVATAR!" yeah well here it is. I was trying to do something historical and representative of civilizations rising and falling.. http://www.dickeatsbush.com/kilndrgn.htm Killing the Dragon. I still think after about 130 video's I don't think I've made a video proper.. at least on my own or without some critiqueing.

As this piece from ABC News demonstrates, this story is starting to get more mainstream coverage as the Feds close in and more people physically show up to watch what's transpiring. Apparently they even arrested someone for walking the beleaguered couple's dog for them. I suppose the story will have to get some coverage if it looks like something will "happen." Yup, they're calling the house a "compound" and that usually spells trouble.

Since Laura's interview on the Republic Broadcasting radio network, I've dug into many of the archived shows -- it seems to be an odd Libertarian-with-a-Patriot-slant kind of organization. The hosts are all quite different, and there are tons of underexposed bits of truth all over it (Bush, Fed Reserve, sanitized US history, cover-ups, NWO, corporate crime, secret societies, secret weapons, propaganda/controlled media, 9/11 inside job, false flags, reality of the wars, etc.) but also a lot of related disinfo that isn't closely examined. Those hosts who indulge in the most potent advocacy seem also to share the ideas that Jesus is great, guns are great, survivalism is great, Ron Paul is great, looking out for #1 is a priority, illegal aliens are "bad," homosexuality is weird but tolerable, and just about anything that suggests the gov't is evil is a-okay (in an undiscerning manner). Anyway, these guys are all over this story. It has opened my eyes to the existence of yet another vectored subcultured with an incoherent mish-mash of rationalized ideas.

Oh, I almost forgot why I brought this up. Between these sources and others, I've noticed the income-tax-is-illegal issue getting a lot more "play" lately, and wondered (as some here suggested way back last year, and Anart just today here: http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=6366) if this (evasion of taxes by ordinary people) really is designed as a deliberate clean-up op that is starting to gear up now that so many have watched Russo's America: From Freedom to Fascism, and all that. Since the movie was pulled from Google Video, some RBN hosts are literally giving it away to anyone who writes in.
