I was reading the articles on SOTT about mercenaries in Haiti. I recalled the punk band Crass who wrote a song about private armies in 1978 called "Securicore:"

Reading the wikipedia entry on Crass was interesting. They realized the corruption of society was systemic and experimented as they could with alternative living arrangements and the like along with trying to express their discontent with political, gender, and religious issues musically.
