Re: Lunar Total Eclipse for Europe

"Lunar Eclipse to turn sky blood red" was the heading of an article in the Irish Independent newspaper.
Article here _http://www.independent.ie/national-news/lunar-eclipse-to-turn-sky-blood-red-2467181.html
“A blood red sky is expected over Ireland tomorrow morning…. Millions of commuters are expected to do a double take when they see the sky turning red at around 8.00 am.

Just before sunlight spills into Newgrange on the morning on the shortest day of the year, the total eclipse Moon will turn a deep red as it sets in the west.

The spectacular vision of the moon disappearing into the earths shadow will be the last total eclipse Ireland will see for five years.

According to David Moor Chairman of Astronomy Ireland “This has scared the living daylights out of people in the past especially if they are not expecting it” Mmmm…

Also from SOTT “Skywatchers Set for total lunar eclipse”
http://www.sott.net/articles/show/220117-Skywatchers-set-for-total-lunar-eclipse

added; No red sky, didn’t see red just a pinkie hue to the odd cloud, didn’t even see the moon as it was obscured by hill on horizon, it would have made a nice photo…

We had our luna eclipse in Sydney a few hours ago, but I didn't see anything of the moon until it was all over and it cleared some of the rooftops blocking the view, I'm currently looking out the window at a very bright full moon in a black sky, it's beautiful.

Well, I missed the eclipse because it's been raining about four days straight where I live. Whenever some cool astronomical event happens in my area, it's cloudy (e.g. the Mars eclipse a few years back, the Geminid meteor shower, and probably a few others).

Anyone want to share a picture they took? Thanks in advance! :)
