Discussions with children

I thought I would share a discussion I had with my 10 year old son this morning since I'm sure many of us are traversing this journey with children.

Every morning my son and I walk at the beach and we choose topics to discuss. We discuss absolutely anything and everything and I often find myself learning from his perspective as much as he learns from mine.

This morning I brought up the idea of energy and how we are all connected - from the shells on the beach to the moon setting in the sky and everything in between. I explained to my son how our beliefs, our actions and who we are can have an effect on the entire universe and he understood this as 'finding the balance'. He said that if things are out of balance then the universe will work to bring things back to balance and I agreed. We talked about this current chaos and the charge that it may create with all of the unseeing people compared to the seeing people and the importance of us doing all the things that can be done to bring back balance and also to prepare for what the universe may have in store for us.

I explained things in simple terms, light and dark, good and evil and we discussed what might be considered one or the other, from food choices to activities and choosing the people we hang out with. My son is a typical 10 year old and he wants to play video games and watch silly programs just like his friends do. I restrict these activities a lot but I also feel that this is his journey and he needs to make his choices for some things so we talked about the darkness in the video games & on the screen compared to the light in activities like meditation and playing his guitar. It was interesting to hear him acknowledge how the creative activities make him feel compared to the screen based activities and he recognises how the 'dark' pulls him in and he sees it in his friends who do not have restrictions around screen time and how their emotional state is much more 'squashed' and sad.

We also talked about when humanity becomes too chaotic, the universe may well bring about events that will change the World to bring back the balance and that no matter what happens, it doesn't matter where you are but who you are and your experience will be very different depending on the work you've done on yourself, how open you are to changes and how aware you are of what is going on right now.

My son meditates for about 10 minutes every day and has done for the past 3 years. He also practices EFT when he's distressed and the difference between his emotional state and his ability to articulate and observe compared to that of his friends is remarkable. For meditation we use the Calm app or Jo Dispenza's childrens guided meditation.

We talk a lot about food choices and at home we are Paleo/keto and all organic but I know he gorges on peanut butter sandwiches and juice when he's at friends houses - again, he has to make his own decisions with the information he has and at 10 years of age, there are many lessons to learn.

We discussed that his life journey is his to have and that his friends also have their own journey, that we are all learning at our own pace and that everything that we experience is a lesson. We also discussed that if we are doing the work, diet, meditation, seeing, learning then the people around us can also benefit since we are all connected by energy and that the more we can help others, the more we can find the Universal balance.

As a mother I feel like these discussions are so important and I wonder how other parents on this forum are exploring them with children?

Congratulations, sounds like you're doing a pretty good job in raising your son! Having a 11- and a 9-year old myself, I've noticed that kids are more open to 'metaphysical discussions' than many would think, you just need to find a good way to open up the discussion. Or, sometimes they initiate the discussions themselves, if you just listen to them.

It's been a while since I had longer philosophical discussions with my kids, but this Corona madness has opened up several opportunities to point out to them the utter nonsense in the logic of the restrictions. My son (11 Y) likes to read the news paper, but he's used to – thanks to my 'indoctrination' :-D – read them with a critical eye. I think this realization of "not everything they say in the newspaper is true" started several years ago, when our kids started asking about the low fat food in the school; we've always eaten animal fats in the family (no bad fats) so they started wondering about that. So, I explained in my best strategic way how producers of margarine and other unhealthy fats want to promote this fear of fat, because they want to sell their products, and that there's unfortunately 'bad guys' in the real world, too, who want to fool us. My son later surprised me by reading ca half of a book on diet and health that I had shown him (I think he was 7 or 8 at this point).

So, several years later, now, when this Corona psyop started, our kids had already bee 'primed' not to believe everything, so they have not been scared of the 'virus' one tiny bit...and to my amazement, they've been quite strategic about it, meaning that they keep this 'secret' to themselves at school. During the discussions on fat mentioned above, I remember saying a few times how it's not wise to try and convince your schoolmates about this...you'd be only getting yourself in trouble.

One topic that at least our kids are fascinated with is...life after death. Last summer they asked me "oh, dad, what are you reading this time?", and I bluntly stated that I was reading a few books on life after death. This started a good long discussion, and I told them about e.g. the 'light being' that was mentioned in those books, and how based on what I've read I'm 100% convinced that we don't loose our sense of self as we die, we continue 'being us'. This 'news' made the kids very happy, and we return to the topic every now and then.

I'm not sure I'm answering your question, but these were a few examples that came to my mind. With all the amazing knowledge and awareness we have amassed through this forum, I think that we as parents are very well equipped to provide fruitful and life saving information to our kids, as long as we can deliver it strategically, wisely, and not over-do it. I can't say I know how to do that, it depends on the situation and the receptiveness/mood of the child – but as I said in the beginning, kids are way more interested in these things than many would think.

Lastly, I sometimes feel sad knowing how my kids have to grow up and see all the ugliness of our world, how they will come to realize how most things are lies, and how real evil does exist (not just in video games or movies). But there's no other way, as I see it. I'd rather provide them with the 'naked truth' with all its ugliness, than have them grow up in a cocoon and then 'sleepwalk' through life. In a sense, I feel lucky as I've noticed a spirit of questioning and dissidence in our kids – I don't know how I would cope with having children who are...for the lack of a better word...Organic Portals who would robotically proceed with their life. It might just be, that this predisposition is determined before birth, and what we as parents teach them has a lesser role, the old question of nature vs. nurture.

So, several years later, now, when this Corona psyop started, our kids had already bee 'primed' not to believe everything, so they have not been scared of the 'virus' one tiny bit...and to my amazement, they've been quite strategic about it, meaning that they keep this 'secret' to themselves at school. Thanks for sharing Aragon.

Yes we are similar. My son calls it 'playing the rona game' at school. It's been an eye opener for him too to realise just how many folk both children and adults are asleep.

Interesting times indeed.

I also used to feel sad knowing my child would grow up and see all the ugliness in the World but I believe we are all here at the right time for the right journey and our children have a place in this whole show.

Thank you @batty76 for creating this thread & @aragorn for your comment. Having a 7 years old boy, how to speak with him is something I am having into account lately: how to reply better to any question he has? A couple of hours ago he asked me & my wife while having a walk: when is the coronavirus going to end? I said sth like when the politicians want and probably in 2021  I did not know better how to reply. I don't want or don't know how to explain too many things in a simple way at once, let alone to form opinions in him he can later on share with family or friends that will alienate him.

At the moment I think he's too young to have too much information. I asked him why he asked that question and it was because he doesn't like to wear the mandatory mask. Me & my wife neither, he knows it and we try to use it as little as possible but we need to wear it as a way to not being fined and strategic enclosure, i.e. external considering.

Some weeks ago, I was pondering about the first session and the part about humans being containers and 94% being consumed for parts to create a new race. The C's said: inform the children. Don't hide the truth from them. To explain that at home terrifies me, to be frank, I can't know how to do it properly, if I can cause some kind of trauma to my wife & child. So at the moment I don't.

Q: (L) Why tell children such horrible things?
A: Need to know.

Q: I don't know how knowing this helps. This is awful. Why tell children such things?
A: Must know - ease pain with meditation.

Q: Why are you telling us this? It's awful!
A: We love you.
Q: Are we supposed to tell others?
A: Don't reveal to public. You would be abducted.

Q: (L) What is the purpose of this project?
A: New life here.

I think this is wonderful topic to discuss, as far as we are concerned, as adults we may navigate things and understand why some things are the way they are, but children can be quite a different story, I don’t have kids myself but I can imagine the anguish that this world brings when raising a child, specially today.

I think providing them with truth, even if their behavior doesn’t immediately change is key. These conversations will make a difference maybe 10-20 years down the road, and perhaps that’s the best thing a parent can do under the circumstances.

Hi, thanks everyone for share
I have a little daughter (2y) and your comments give me some idea how important is to develop a good communication and others areas (diet, habits, etc) with our kids.
One thing what I have in mind since she was born, it was giving her a lot of physical contact and establishing a communication through the eyes, I think it is important when children cannot explain with words, perhaps they could communicate with the gaze, or the eyes.

Thanks Miguel Angel for mention the Laura's quote, and super important line:
Q: (L) How can we protect ourselves and our children?
A: Inform them. Don't hide the truth from children.
I have some kind of issue now with my daughter, she is just a toddler, and start to speak, now she is not too much scare o craying, but still seems with a bit stress indicates with his finger certain areas of the house or sometimes in the car, driving, at night some groups of trees in the afternoon-night, she looks towards me and indicates with his little finger that there is something there that she don't like or it causes a bit of anguish, sometimes she just says: "zoombie" ... it is quite grotesque or sinister, I don't know how to handle it, I just turn to where she indicates, and of course I don't see anything specific in the place, but with a firm voice and a slightly high tone I say: "No, no, get out of here" ... is the only thing I can think of to convey a little defense, and pray for protection, at least if she can relate that it is not good to allow those things near her.

What a wonderful subject to bring up. Thank you batty76 for describing how you go about it. My children are grow up now and have totally bought into this Corona madness. Anything I may say, even mildly, is totally dismissed out of hand and I'm coming to gradually accept that.

As children are generally so attentive and curious, if they have a safe environment and know their parents will listen and respect their views I don't think any subject can be taboo. The only thing you have to watch for is the child's rate of development and be able to gauge how much and what you can discuss at any given time. This, most of the time, can be gauged by the questions they ask.

Knowing my kids as children, they would have been totally open to discussion on the topics mentioned above.
I, however, was not then aware of all I have learned on this forum so missed a huge opportunity to share with them. Giving this knowledge to children, in my opinion, is priceless as it increases awareness in them of the outside world which they otherwise would not have and help them to navigate some situations outside the home. Most of all it builds confidence to learn more.

I have three daughters 19, 17, 11 old. I've joined this forum over 13 years ago and had many conversations/discussions about everything kids can think of. Thanks to this forum, Laura and all chateau crew, the information I've gathered here was carefully passed on to them. I was always trying not to overburden them with complex concepts and give them more then they can handle. It was and still is interesting and instructive for all of us. In my case, I've started with things like natural phenomena, weather, the universe, and our position in the environment. Those are basics, for example, we ware watching the stars and constellations at night and talk about how far they are, why are they looking the way they appear from Earth. I even bought a yard telescope in order to watch the night sky. Looking at the Moon with all those visible meteor impact craters opened a further discussion about meteor impacts and so on. We talked much about the importance of our food choices and why something that tastes so good could be very poisonous to our health. Later I've introduced them with UFOs and aliens and oh boy the look on their faces tells you have hit the spot.
All theory aside nothing works best then when they actually see the things I was talking about in real life. As you may already know the city where I live, Zagreb, was hit by a 5.5 R earthquake last March. It was a horrible experience and even though I have raised a question about possible future earthquakes hitting our town, nothing can prepare you for this experience, mostly mentally and emotionally. However, their overall response was very mature and praiseworthy. A few days after, when we all have cooled down, I took two of my oldest for a quick briefing. I've introduced to them the concept of the Wave and STS vs STO dynamics, periodic cataclysms, and possible transition to 4D. They took it very well and it seems that they've got new information explaining the current state of the world and possible future events. So, for example, dealing with all this Corona BS is much smoother than in other families.

Still, it's a labor-intensive job. And especially when you're in a non-collinear relationship. You should always have this in mind in order not to be accused of teaching your kids 'wrong stuff'. It is priceless to see how they grow into responsible, critically thinking young people. Hope that I'll be able to give them even more if asked to.

I think we start having the conversations with our children the same way as we started to see things - slowly. If someone had told me everything in one hit I would have never believed what I was hearing.
Not everything at once but bit by bit so that they can digest it all too.
This is why for now I talk a lot about diet and meditation practice and discuss things in light and dark.
I’m not sure how to approach to atrocities to children but I am sure that by opening up any of these conversations as early as possible will make it easier to approach when the time is right.
I put myself if my sons shoes and remember my own journey to realisation and it is not easy for any of us.
Meditation and EFT is the most important part to prepare them as the C’s recommended.
I can’t imagine what this World must look like to someone who is only just realising now what has taken me 10 years to come to terms with, especially now that things seem to have accelerated so much This year!
At least if we are sharing whatever we feel our children are ready for they are more prepared than many for what may come.

Yes, I think that slowness is key here. I'm sure we all agree that it would be a disaster to start with "Did you know, that aliens consume humans and children?" I haven't yet gone 'full-UFO' or 'full-alien' with my kids, but we've touched upon those subjects...so they've at least heard from me that those things might exist. Regarding the message by the C's posted above, I've early on bluntly told them that "you shouldn't walk too far away from our yard alone, talk to strangers, or get alone in someone's car even if you know them, since there are evil people in the world and there have been cases where children have been kidnapped by strangers, and also cases where familiar people have turned out to be evil." Someone could accuse me of torture by scaring my kids, but I think it's better that they are a bit scared of strangers, than not.

Regarding the 'pedagogy', I have to admit, that as a parent I don't have the energy and über-human quality to plan all this 'teaching' years in advance. It's more like when the opportunity or subject arises I make a quick strategical decision of how to proceed. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't, but maybe with enough attempts during the years something will 'stick' in their minds. ;-)

One of the things I worry about, especially in these times right now, is that if it 'leaks out' in school that e.g. "his/her dad is a conspiracy theorist who believes in UFO:s" or "his/her dad is a nut who doesn't believe in the coronavirus" it will be very hard to make it go away – my children will be bullied.

Great thread Batty, and it's great to hear the next generation is being well informed, as this has been an ongoing challenge with my kids for years. My oldest is 13 and I have a 10 and a 7 year old. My 13 year old understands quite a bit about the world we live in, he questions us about things he hears on the radio or from other sources and I try to tell him the truth as much as I understand it. I try to put things in a way that doesn't go into too much detail, or it can be too much to comprehend fully yet. I'm trying to balance my influence and not be too overbearing, understanding that he's a 13 year old and needs to learn his own direction.
They teach me as much as I teach them. They have an innocent enthusiasm for new things in life. I have no doubt that they are our kids for a reason and they choose to be part of this journey with us.

One thing what I have in mind since she was born, it was giving her a lot of physical contact and establishing a communication through the eyes, I think it is important when children cannot explain with words, perhaps they could communicate with the gaze, or the eyes.
That's a great attitude, imo. Probably I read about it here, in the forum, or in Peter Levine's 'In an unspoken voice' or in both, and I practiced it on a daily basis with mine. Tenderness, Love, Caressing & looking into the eye are as important as feeding the baby. Better said, they are a different feeding way.

I was always trying not to overburden them with complex concepts and give them more then they can handle. It was and still is interesting and instructive for all of us. In my case, I've started with things like natural phenomena, weather, the universe, and our position in the environment.

Thank you very much for the great advice given. I agree 100%: slowness, bit by bit and taking care that teaching some kind of info can alienate them or ourselfs if they share with the majority of people out there.

Regarding the message by the C's posted above, I've early on bluntly told them that "you shouldn't walk too far away from our yard alone, talk to strangers, or get alone in someone's car even if you know them, since there are evil people in the world and there have been cases where children have been kidnapped by strangers, and also cases where familiar people have turned out to be evil."
I've teached mine the same a couple of months ago. When he started to ride his bycicle without training wheels I realised inmediately I could not protect him by being near him if he was 10/20 meters far from my position so I gave him the same advice.

I guess a way to approach that possiblity could be to explain about that possible outcome and the neccesity to have that knowledge as a secret or giving a simplified explanation of external consideration, i.e. some people don't like you mess with their ideas/beliefs.

I try to put things in a way that doesn't go into too much detail, or it can be too much to comprehend fully yet. I'm trying to balance my influence and not be too overbearing, understanding that he's a 13 year old and needs to learn his own direction.

Great advice, thank you all. :flowers:
