Dismemberment and Reconfiguration

The Living Force
Well I had this interesting dream last night.

This guy, don't know who, he had been through a traumatic situation and he ended up on this gurney in what I can only assume is a hospital being wheeled to emergency operation. In the dream, my frame of reference at the beginning was locked just on his head and neck. I could see the gurney he was lying on and that it was moving. He was fully conscious. However, I knew his body was dead, injured, broken up. For example, I could see that his neck was broken.

Eventually after the procedure which I didn't see, I see him getting up and being told he has got a new body. His face is still the same but the body is now new, strong, athletic and full of health. He gets up feels it out by moving around and this is how I could tell it was athletic and then he walks out the door.

Hi luke,

I could see the gurney he was lying on and that it was moving. He was fully conscious. However, I knew his body was dead, injured, broken up. For example, I could see that his neck was broken.

It could be that gurney is performing a role of a body in one case... After procedure this guy is using his true body:)

I see it as a symbolic thing. for instance, I had a little visit to the emergency room the other day, for something not even close to that, but for example in the Hospital the prescribed me with Percoset the popular Painkilled/psychotic/psychiatric drug that makes you feel amazing...

I took the prescription but never took a pill, not because I was stubborn, but because I thought of it as not healthy.

in the spiritual sense the symbolic meaning of my pain would have never been grasped if I hadn't felt it on my skin, that the pain was needed to comprehend something. IMO.

So maybe the significance is that certain "struggle/experience/tension/pain/suffering" is necessary for transformation, and that if the experience is "buffered" the new body can't be achieved.

but given the circumstances of your dream Im not sure that the meaning I think applies, If what you noticed was that he was awake, maybe, If you noticed other event as more significant maybe It symbolizes something in a indirect but important way..

Maybe your dream is somewhat connected with an article "8 things my bad-boy brother taught me about death"?

Well, if you think about how it would be if being in a hospital ready for operation. This is a signature of you having some worries/fears in your life. The operation itself can mean that you are working on an issue, getting to heal something. The hospital itself means that one is ready to heal something in himself. If you are in a waiting room for example - confusion, not being sure of one's decisions.
The reference on the brain and neck - the neck is the border between the intellectual center and the emotional center(as an interpretation). This problem of yours is manifesting in the intellectual center. A negative feedback loop with which you are struggling? The broken neck is not that well. There is not a good circulation of energy through the "border".
The procedure, which you didn't see might be related to an unconscious process. You were conscious of a problem, you brought it in the "light", so it might heal in the "backstage". Things could be better for you.
The idea of "new" should be pretty easy to digest: a new step, maybe getting more in touch with the body(since it was strong, athletic, healthy).

edgitarra,

I just want to add that luke in his dream is a spectator. At least this I can read from his post. So except some personal details "the message" could contain something more basic/objective/universal/conceptual. Don't know for sure though:)

The question of involvement/participation in a dream plot is an interesting one to me:)

He might just be a spectator, but in dreams we are not always having things happening to us that can have a meaning for us, because it is our own dream. The mind just tries to place symbols in different forms, but the dream is ours, no matter how it is projecting how what it wants to tell us.

It could change after a while:) I mean, if we have our mind working in a dream mode it is fascinating per se. And I would say that at least in some dreams the way of "symbols" are composed matters a lot.

What could the meaning of this one be?

I was dreaming I was sleeping in my bed. Some person came up and arose some snake inside my body. I felt the snake slithering inside my body which sort of sent me to a mini-panic. I could feel my skin bulge as it moved along! Then the snake, uhmm, how do I say this, started to attempt to slither out of my body from uhmm... use your imagination.... I totally freaked out and sprung to life in my bed.

Sorry, don't want to use my imagination in this case :D
Maybe the dream is about your subconscious telling you that you are about to get rid of some inner fear or program which has a life of its own. It looks like an inner struggle where something is to be expelled? Just a thought.
