Dreams of aliens, spiders

The Force is Strong With This One
Well, I feel awkward posting about my dreams but I have plenty of unsettling ones, and one just last night. I suppose I'm easily scared by dreams, and by the dark, as if it's more likely that something will jump out of the darkness after I turn off a lamp. Last night, I dreamt about being in some kind of public space, maybe a store, and soon it became night and for some reason I slept there. The surroundings became similar to my bedroom and I was lying in the same position on my side but turned over to face away from the wall. People walked by, and then my brother walked by but stopped on his way past and I said, "Be on your way" or something to that affect.

Then I try to sleep but for some reason I feel like looking toward the foot of the bed and to the left where, apparently, my desk and chair are. And there is the chair, and it's dark, and I stare for a moment and then I can discern a small grey alien sitting there. For some reason, maybe too many stories about aliens, I feel utter revulsion and fear, and I get up and pull on its leg and hit it, telling it that it can't be here. But at the same time, I'm either half-awake or dreaming that I'm still in the bed in the dream, and only moving my arms and hitting the blankets. And I'm unsure in the dream, and then I wake up. And I was so unsettled by the alien that I couldn't go back to sleep for a few hours.

Another dream from a couple of months ago: I was lying in bed. I woke up, looked to the left and toward the foot of the bed, and saw a small grey alien, indistinct and murky in the darkness. I couldn't really move and then I woke up. Also, unsettling.

Another dream from around the same time, give or take a month: It was unusual for me in that I was standing or floating in a white blankspace. And then like a slideshow that changed angles wildly, images of a spider appeared at various magnifications. I am scared of spiders very much, but the weird whitespace was a first.

I suppose that what is really frightening is that anything could emerge from the darkness. Only darkness at home, though, not so much if I'm walking around at school at night.
