Now, if we consider the possibility that some people are intrinsically evil, this colludes with the theory of psychopathy. For Łobaczewski, it is a disease, or something assimilated to a disease. Some people have no moral conscience, no empathy for other people, no remorse. These things, a part of life for most of us, are like colours to the colour-blind or musical notes to the tone-deaf. Most of us have remorse for a little white lie, and others have not the slightest compunction for having killed a human being, raped, destroyed a child’s innocence and much more. They are cold and callous, manipulators. Lobaczewski calls them psychopaths.
