hi All,
During the eclipse yesterday I was standing outside, feeling the sunshine and wind, the sounds all around me. Quieted the mind and said POTS a few times, and as I finished the 3rd round I heard a sound overhead, what became apparent to be an airplane.
I considered for a moment whether to continue on but decided to open my eyes and look up to see what was flying overhead.
I caught a quick glimpse of the plane which from my vantage point was slowly descending in an arc from right to left, having just crossed the alignment with the sun, from my vantage point.
It was a plane that was entirely grey and shaped what reminded me of a bird.
There were no markings on the plane, no Delta insignia or Northwest or any airline. It was all grey.
The sound seemed to come out of nowhere, was not there, then the next instant it was, and a couple seconds later I open my eyes to look.
Well I closed my eyes after the initial glimpse but realized the sound had interrupted the vibrations of the moment so to speak so decided to look at it once more. When I looked again, not more than 10 seconds later, it was gone! That is it was not visible anywhere on the horizon, I even walked up and down the road a bit to see other angles. The sound however continued, but I could not see the plane.
Maybe it was nothing, but it was noteworthy to me and bizarre and so I wanted to share this with the network. It appeared pretty much right on with the timing of the eclipse. :/ I did not have a watch with me, but had gone outside for just a few moments right before the event.
