I Was at the Trump Rally Where He Was Shot. Here Is What I Saw

The gunshots weren’t as loud as I expected them to be. And the crowd didn’t immediately disperse into a screaming panic like a scene from the movies.

The seconds following the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday was marked with more confusion and bewilderment than chaos. It seemed unbelievable that’s what was happening.
Reality quickly set in as I, along with a sea of Trump supporters, ducked to the ground, where we waited for what felt like minutes, unclear if the shots would continue and more would be hit.

People around me were incredulous. “Are you f—ing kidding me?” I heard one person ask. “Get him off that stage, that’s all I can tell you,” another said. Others shrieked as they realized the severity of the situation. Still, others were frozen.

When I got back up, Trump had already been whisked away by the Secret Service. A bullet had pierced through his right ear, he would say later. The shooter was killed, as was another attendee at the rally. Two others were seriously injured.
But I didn’t know any of that at the time. Nor did much of the crowd rows back that had gathered in the sweltering heat hours before Trump took to the podium to deliver his speech — about six minutes into which the shooting began – and standing on their tiptoes to catch a glimpse of the former president.

Cell phone reception vanished in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, which added to the sense of confusion and anxiety as the thousands of supporters in the field for the rally decided what to do.
While some, grabbing children, immediately fled the scene — some even pushing and shoving each other — many of them stuck around, refusing to believe it could be over so soon, hoping he would return and continue on, even as officers attempted to escort people off the field.

While I was making my own way out, the gravity of what I had witnessed had just begun to sink in.

Celia Farber's take. Money quote:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________

"I must be traumatized, I can’t bring myself to care about what really happened, or didn’t.

Was it “staged?”

Welcome to 1000 new rabbit holes, theories, certainties, and arguments. All they have in common is a quality of sterility.

Inducing Americans to charge like lemmings after their chosen I-don’t-believe-bullshit theory du jour.

Let’s assume there was a gunman, and he tried to kill Trump, and for some reason the rooftop Secret Service guys waited till Trump was hit with actual bullets to the side of his head, before they “blew the head off” the 20 year old assassin. What else? We’re told he was a “registered Republican” who donated to Biden.

No single fact in all this is worth a PCR Covid test that 3 dogs peed on.

The only thing Americans know for sure is that Americans can’t know anything for sure, except that the lies are getting bigger, cruder, and more disorienting, with each Capstone Trauma Event.

The gunman (do I have to say “ostensible” every other word?) just released the intensely coiled tension of 8 years of engineered Trump loathing, converting it, making its future and growth impossible.

Trump Loathing and Hysteria, I assert, is essentially over.

Those on the murderous “left” angry that the would be assassin missed are ghettoing themselves as we speak. Nobody wants to be that—almost nobody. So: Trump loathing has been burned off in a hail of bullets, whether real or theatrical—it doesn’t matter as much as people think, what really happened.

American Traditions.

Rene Girard said that scapegoating, sacrificing, and worship are part of an ancient sequence.

Example:

JFK was sacrificed, as the best, for we sacrifice the best—and he was worshipped after sacrifice, by the same forces who oversaw his execution.

Same thing here in Granada, with Lorca: Sacrificed and returned as object of worship, but not as he was. (Poet.)

The Obama grandstanding class now have to speak in their frosty, self-important ways of violence as “unacceptable” in the United States, though he and Michelle stopped short of using the word “prayers.”

That struck me as significant.

Do Northern Europeans notice that Americans today, on all sides, are issuing prayers for Trump and his family? Even Joe Biden.

That says to me that we are still a God nation, in some hard to define way. I can promise you Swedes, Germans, Dutch, do not promise to “pray” for a wounded political leader, struck by bullets.

The American esprit is, potentially, putting itself back together.

What was that Tranströmer line: “Our eyes keep wide open beneath the bandages?”

I was surprised, last night, around 3 am here, that when I saw the footage, when I heard the bullets, saw Trump grab the side of his head, I started to cry. The 8 years of immense tension coming un-coiled.

It would become possible to feel something, not only for Donald Trump, but for ourselves.

This is all that interests me, in all this."

I think it is highly unlikely that a rimfire cartridge was used. Recall the killed bystander said to have exposed grey matter, not likely from a long range hit by a rimfire cartridge. It would be stupid to attempt such a shot with a run of the mill rimfire rifle - maybe the shooter was this stupid but color me skeptical.
Full disclosure - I couldn't stand to watch either video in it's entirety. Guess I'm not much of a fan of Larry Johnson.
I also find all the speculation about what getting grazed in the ear would feel like and what the reactions should be rather offensive. Have you ever been shot in the ear? Or even seriously injured in a quick/unexpected manner? Most of the time there is no pain, only a bit of shock. The pain comes later.
Another thing, trying to evaluate the caliber/type of rifle by the sound of unknown microphones is a fool's errand. Mics often do not capture the sound of firearms discharge 'correctly'.

Yeah, that's a good point. Rimfire cartridges are all basically small calibre AFAIK, like a .22. They all have a drop in ballistics trajectory at 150 yards. Can we confirm that 150 yards is the distance between Trump and the 'primary suspect' rooftop shooter? The further away it is, the less likely it was a rimfire IMO.

1720976346948.png
I'm also not super familiar with all rimfire cartridge ballistics in use in America, such as military and law enforcement issue - I'm most accustomed to hunting rounds used in Canada.

Anyways, if the story is that a lone gunman on the rooftop fired at Trump (1) through iron sights (2) from around 150 yards (450 feet or 137 meters) away and (3) with a small calibre rifle, I don't know... Maybe I'm just not that good at the gun range, but hitting a head-sized target with a .22 from that distance with iron sights is not easy IMO.

And, to the point, if it was a planned event by some rogue element in the Deep State, I don't see them placing their bet on such a risky scenario as above.

Add in a second shooter with subsonic rounds who took the 'real shot' at Trump and it makes more sense to me. In this scenario, our 'primary suspect' on the rooftop took some real shots, too, but he was set up to fail, and die. Or maybe by some fluke hit the target. But the 'real shot' came from elsewhere.

Just some speculation.

I'm not an expert on this, but it seems to me 16 seconds is not that strange in this situation. He has to a) find the target, b) getting him in the crosshairs, and c) prepare and execute the shot. Add to this all the mayhem around him (he was in the middle of it) possibly distracting him, plus the usual doubts as to shooting a potential civilian (he has to be sure), and it adds up quickly. Now, if he was super professional and great at his job, it might have taken him less time, and one could argue that he should have shot even without having him in his crosshairs just to scare him off, but it seems at least not inconceivable that he was just a little slow all things considered and that's it.

This German law enforcement guy seems to agree, and in fact talks about how it "only" took him 16 seconds to shoot the perpetrator:

Translation:

To the question of why the precision marksmen on the roof did not shoot immediately and how this video is to be interpreted 1/x
Basically, the precision snipers are not on the roof for their own sake, they are involved in the personal protection measures and their main task is not to shoot

First and foremost, they observe and provide information 2/x
And the very word "supply" points directly to the fact that they are only one element in the security concept

In principle, there is a TOC, a "Tactical Operations Center", where the information is collected, evaluated and decisions are made 3/x
In other words:

A lot of radio, even an extreme amount, a lot of images and an excessive amount of information

For such cases as the assassination attempt, the commanders have a "reservation of fire" as an order: 4/x
If one can shoot, provided the assassin has been clearly identified and the danger persists, then there is no long discussion with superiors, they already have clearance to fire
5/x

the "flinching" in the video is due to the technology, the movement to the rear is actually a movement to immediately clear the field of view, which is limited by the optics, and to see where the shot is coming from 6/x

directly after this movement, you can clearly see how the shooter roughly aims the weapon

This is the only sensible technique, first look roughly in the direction and then practically guide the glass, you don't do anything different with double binoculars, otherwise you're chasing a wolf 7
So it's not a case of "hell, they're stupid", but simply a lack of technical understanding of what they're doing

And that's pretty much the quickest and most effective option, after all, it only took just under 16 seconds to fight the perpetrator

Anyone having a soul and surviving such a kill attempt would start to pray fervently in a similar situation. Still,

They appear to have had him in their sights for more than 40 seconds before the first shot rang out. Although they could well have been focused on further afield as suggested by the guy Harrison quoted.

It's really great to see people taking Cs advice.

Session 27 May 2000
A: ... Confusing stories and fabrications are used to muddy the waters in anticipation of future disclosures. And beware of authors who cast one stone and hit multiple targets. As with any conspiratorial mystery, keep focused on the earliest entries in the evidentiary train...
Now is the time to examine all the entries in the evidentiary train, because many will surely soon disappear down the memory hole.

I've watched the video several times, and I think the "flinching" is them reacting in fear to the shooting, which would be normal. They don't know if they are being shot at or not.

See here, the guy behind even ducks down. That said, it does seem that first guy is immediately lowering his weapon to target on the shooter that he may have just become aware of.

Yeah, if the rooftop guy really had no scope it would be extremely difficult to place the first shot so close to Trumps head, that’s for sure! That is, if the first shot hit Trump rather than the proclaimed “Teleprompter“ which then send a glass fragment toward his head. But, if glass was really involved you would expect more injured people. Which doesn’t seem to be the case. So, I would still go for the first shot having been a bullet that hit Trumps ear. And if that is the case, and the rooftop guy shot the first shot with no scope, it then appears to be a very skillful and/or coincidental bullseye hit. Or, someone else shot the first bullet…

I also have to say: That Trump survived this assassination attempt, borders on a miracle. So freaking close! Indeed, there might have been some divine intervention at play. Or, just pure luck.

If I were Trump and/or a Trump supporter, I would now take the security of Trump in my own hands and post/organize as many Trump supporters (preferably skilled individuals from the military and/or security apparatus) around each venue Trump will be in. Obviously, you can't trust the Secret Service or any other official protection agencies to protect Trump! So, let's do it ourselves, for god's sake! I mean, Trump supporters should now really grab their guns (in a country where it can be done legally in places!) and protect Trump with their own hands. Just organize some squads all around future Trump appearances with as many people as possible.
Yes and think how that could coalesce into an army of resistance fighters. That would shift the balance of power, USAs retired military and special forces banding together, joined by citizens and I could see current military and police with a conscience ditching the deep state to join the coup. Whoa, maybe I’m getting ahead of myself. But boy we are in for interesting show now.

See here, the guy behind even ducks down. That said, it does seem that first guy is immediately lowering his weapon to target on the shooter that he may have just become aware of.

Yeah, hard to tell, but it looks to me as if the first guy is searching around with his scope, then becomes aware of something immediately before the first shot is fired on Trump, and then reacts according to his training, i.e. get off the scope, get a broad view of what's going on, adjust the weapon, get back on the scope, fire. If so, then he was actually super fast.

Simplicus on Substack makes a number of good observations on how the US MSM is downplaying the assassination attempt, labeling it as a minor incident. Supposedly a document with instructions (by who?) was sent to the media not to make the incident look as anything serious, not to have quests to comment it etc. So, basically what the MSM is saying is that a bullet piercing your ear is nothing serious and definitely not an assassination attempt!

This is the headline of the Denver Post. Looks like they feel sympathy for the shooter. Note the very small red lettering on the upper left. Kinda like should we believe whatever Trump says?
