Is there only one account per IP address allowable at SOTT.net?

My wife is unable to register an account of her own.

Also, I use two IP addresses, one at home and another at work.

No, but there is a limit to how many new accounts can be created from the same IP within a certain period of time. However, that limit is simply to help prevent rapid spam account signups.

If your wife is still unable to sign up for a SOTT account, send me a PM with her desired username, e-mail, etc. and I can create an account manually for her.

Hi Mr. Scott,

I am also going to send you a PM. I have been trying to sign up for a SOTT account on more than one occasion, even with a different e-mail address, but didn't succeed. Thanks. :)

Hello

I am wondering, how often do you delete accounts ?
I don't post very often, but almost each time I do, I have to register a new account. With a new username, because the old name does not work.
Often the a new account will not get registered, so I just give up.
What is the time limit on a rarely used account, before it gets deleted?
I keep a password book beside my computer for all the sites I register on, I have had to register, on this site 9 accounts so far, not counting usernames that did not work.

There is no time limit. Based on your forum e-mail address, it appears you have a current account created in March of 2012, and your username is:

ShamanSamReloaded

To get a new password, you can go here:

https://www.sott.net/users/forgot_password (it usually takes a few minutes for the new password to arrive)

It's important to note that both your username and password are case sensitive, and must be typed exactly.

Hope this helps!
