Counterspin is aired on WBAI in NYC the same station that airs democracy now and other so called progressive shows here. This is the only station my sister and father listens to. My sister even support them with a yearly donation. Although I've never actually sat down to listen to a complete program, once in a while if I walk in her room, I hear snippets of broadcasts without knowing the name of a particular program. Sometimes I stop and listen for a few minutes and on occasion have heard commentators speak out against what is happening to the Palestinian people. They are also big on exposing the media bias but for every one of those types of programs, they probably have two or three shills for the establishment in disguise. It's sort of like the Village Voice weekly newspaper in NYC. They expose media bias and have pretty good articles about what is really going on. They also have had staff purges and reorganization quite often in the past five years. What is interesting is it seems the supposed progressives like Nat Hentoff who supported the US going into Iraq, the supreme court granting Bush the presidency and is also an apologist for Israel never fall victim to the staff purges.
