Fake and Real Spiders in a dream

The Force is Strong With This One
From what I can remember, I was with my "wife" (not legally married but living a marital life, if that makes sense) in a bed, not too big, and even though it wasn't, I felt it like we were in Maria's room (Maria being the girl I used to like before I met Ana [my wife]).

Maria wasn't there in any or in part of the dream, but like I said, it felt like it was her room.
It was "decorated" with fake rubber spiders, even attached to the bed, and there was a HUGE spider in the corner of the roof, this big spider had another spider, a bit smaller, trapped in its web.

We were worried about that because we're both afraid of spiders, (Ana is clearly arachnophobic, while my case is simpler, I'm afraid of the big ones, and don't like the other ones) so we were thinking about wether to take the adornments out, try to kill the real ones, or what...

When we took the fake ones out, I looked at the corner, to check the real ones, and the smaller, trapped one was gone (the big one obviously ate it), we were surprised, took more rubber spiders out, and I checked again...this time, the big spider was missing.

I got scared and woke up, having to calm myself to be able to sleep again.

Does anyone have an explanation to all that? or is it just nonsense?

Hello Tavo,
What do you think/feel of your ex or your past relationship with her? The room may be just a representation of something related to her? Or what you feel is related to her? (deception, trap, falsness, danger...)?

Ha, I was going to add some info on that in the first post, but I decided to wait so someone could ask properly and more specifically.

First of all, she was never my "ex", she was (still is actually) a friend, and I had feelings for her. She found out about it in a way that ultimately (not directly) got me to part ways with my best friend (he told her), and I dissapeared some time from her life.

I still had feelings for her, until some thinking got me to understand how things would be with her.

What do I think/feel? I think I want to help her, with her progress or something like that, she usually texts me or another friend in common looking for answers.

I hope it helps.

Oh she's pretty weird btw, she used to have earrings of spiders and stuff...

hmm so you really associate that place (the room with spiders) to her.
Why do you think you could help her? In the dream you were the one needing help (and your wife)

Well I don't think I dream that causes enough of a reaction in you to post should be written off as nonsense so here's my take on it....

Your focus in the dream of getting rid of the rubber spiders first and spiders being associated with this other women makes me think that you are being distracted by her somehow. You are distracted and focusing on dealing with fake spiders instead of the real big one. While you and your wife were distracted with this task, the really big spider ate the smaller one! I'm not sure what to make of this but I think it's very important in it's symbology and requires contemplation-maybe you have an idea on this or someone else, but it points to predation in my opinion.

Maybe your effort here to help her clean up herroom-the location in the dream- (ie. help her with her problems) is the distraction and there is a real part of her personality(big predatory spider) that lurks in the corner that is large and cannibalistic and shifty that you won't be able to get or clear out. It also seems as though she has no interest on working on herself since she is not in the room at all and is leaving you to do it. Maybe this is a reminder from your subconscious to work on your self first and and a warning (hence the fear associated with the spiders) not to be distracted with other peoples fake and time-consuming junk because it does sound as if this women is taking up your time with her issues.
I also found it very interesting that your wife was in the dream with you helping clear out the spiders. To me that suggests that she is very much on your side in the cleaning process (cleansing of you mind/body or whatever aspect of yourself you are currently working on.

Hope this helps...

I...I don't even know what to add here, it's a perfect explanation
Thank you very much.

I don't know if I can help her, I just thought that she could/should use what I've researched as a base, but then I think maybe it's not her time to go there.

I've read that spiders in dreams can represent an unhealthy relationship that is 'sucking' from your life, or making you feel oppressed. I recently had a spider dream (after tangling myself up in one such unhealthy relationship) where there was this big plate of cooked, breaded, and seasoned spiders in front of me. Someone who I couldn't see, only sense, was whispering in my ear... "You're not really going to eat that, are you?" And in a really haughty and arrogant way I lifted my fork and replied, "Are you kidding me? These spiders are AMAZING when they're prepared like this." And I proceeded to eat the entire contents of this huge plate of spiders. Feeling satisfied with myself, suddenly everything changed, and my stomach began to ache horribly... I started vomiting up all these little spiders that I ate, and the taste was putrid and horrible, like burning my tongue and the back of my throat and the insides of my nostrils, and their little hairy legs were sticking to the back of my teeth and the sides of my mouth, so I was actually reaching into my mouth with my hands to try to pull all these nasty spider bits out. And it was so painful! Wretched pains in my stomach and chest. Thankfully, my alarm went off not too long after this, but I woke up in much the same way you described waking up from your spider dream -- panicked, alert, and alarmed like it really happened. When I woke up, I kind of had this faint acrid taste in my mouth. It was definitely weird... But without disclosing too many details, I can say that the dream was a perfect subconscious representation of the attitude I had taken towards this relationship that was very bad for me... I 'dressed it up' with seasonings and spices, breading, anything to make it 'palatable'... You get me? ;)

It sounds like many of the other interpretations viewed here are right on or at least very close to the mark.
